Circa 1940. Kona Kai Resort and Gallery is beautifully situated on the waterfront on the island of Key Largo in the Florida Keys. Located 75 minutes south of Miami it makes for the perfect getaway in itself or as a base to explore the Keys and Everglades. A few minutes from the inn, guests can enjoy the best snorkeling, fishing and eco-touring of the area. Bungalows are nestled among the plantings across the property and offer French doors, glass block showers, fine bedding, art and upscale toiletries. Most visitors try and stay several days if not a week. The inn has an extensive Botanic Garden and is soon to be certified as such. Even the sand under the hammocks is manicured. Guests enjoy sunsets on the inn's dock or lounging around the pool.
