Description

Circa 1750. Few travelers can boast that they have stayed at a mid-18th-century plantation. Jasmine Plantation is just such a place. Surrounded by more than 40 acres of Virginia countryside, it's not difficult to understand why the Morris family chose this spot for their home. The property's first dwelling was built as early as the 1680s. Several guest rooms are named for members of the Morris Family, and all are decorated with antiques. The Rose Room features Victorian furnishings and a whirlpool bath. The George Morris Room includes 19th-century pieces, king size bed, a fireplace and clawfoot tub. Memorabilia from multiple centuries add special charm to the place. The innkeepers have antique irons, old books and magazines, antique dolls and a sampling of vintage advertising signs for Philip Morris or Coca-Cola.
