Inn On The Sky

The inn is breath taking. The service, however, was a different story. This was our first stay but second attempt at the inn. A year ago, my husband and I had a weekend booked. When we arrived there was no one there and after waiting for an hour we left. Our phone calls to the inn were not answered until the next day. The only reason we went back is because we had a gift certificate. Friends had stayed there and loved it. Two days prior to our stay, we phoned and were assured someone would be there to greet us. Wrong! Check-in was at 3. Notes were left where to find your room. We left at 5 for dinner and passed the owner coming up the drive. I never met him until 7:30 when he came to the main floor and I had to introduce myself. I asked when breakfast was the next day and he said may be 9 or 9:30am. We ate at 9. If you wanted to eat at 9:30, there was no one there. The cook left by 9:30 because she had to be at her other job by 10am. Management wasn't seen at all. We need extra towels and had no one to ask. And, the road coming into the property is awful. It is a dirt road that really needs to be paved.
