Arrive as guests, leave as friends

We loved this place. We stayed in 6 different hotels and B & Bs on our trip to the USA and this was by far our favourite. Dan & Nancy, the innkeepers, are the nicest people you could hope to meet, and the inn is like something out of a film. The breakfasts are yummy and plentiful, our bed was really comfy and we really enjoyed getting to know the other guests over drinks on the veranda. Stay here for a slice of true Southern Hospitality and Nancy's brownies!

Soaking Soulmates on a Honeymoon

Let me just say two days at the Inn on Main Street was not enough time. We stayed at the Inn at the end of our honeymoon journey. We arrived later than expected since we were driving in from Williamsburg, VA, and Dan and Nancy greeted us just as if we had arrived on time. The next morning we were up early and out the door to the Biltmore, and the then the best part of the honeymoon. An hour long soak in Hot Springs, NC and an hour long massage. Now we are get regular massages at home, but we had the best massage ever at the spa, and only 20% of the guest that go to the hot springs get a massage crazy. You must book the Soaking Soulmates package. Dan is truly the Muffin Man. Each morning we were greeted with a different muffin and my new husband loved them, and he's not a muffin eater. He even took and extra one for the road. The frittata and I believe we had a stuffed French toast were the best. I love breakfast food, Yummy! We stayed in the Lee Room, which was on the downstairs next to the front door. We thought we might be staying out longer and didn't want to disturb anyone coming in, but we were always in by 10, so I think next time we might stay up stairs away from the door. It was amusing to hear ppl coming in at different times and their conversations, but I can be a bit of a light sleeper, so upstairs next time for sure. The Lee room was very comfortable and interesting to us history buffs. The bed and pillows were the best. The TV in the room is a little award for the other person in bed, but snuggle close and watch TV or just find other things to do, there are many. We loved how green Dan and Nancy have made the Inn. It is the major reason we chose the Inn even though it was outside Asheville. They have rain barrels, a compost, organic cleaners, home made soaps, recycling bin, and the list goes on. Thank you, Dan and Nancy for taking the time to research all the ways you could make the Inn green and well done. We will be back, hopefully for longer! The Green History Buffs from Mississippi

Great B&B close to Asheville

Inn on Main Street was just what we were looking for: Close to Asheville (10 min drive), nice restaurants and shops one block away, and pampering. The breakfast is first class. And the evening gathering on the porch included appetizer and glass of wine. We'd stay here again!

A CHARMING PLACE TO STAY

The inn is charming, the town is peaceful and centrally located to many outdoor activities. The breakfasts are outstanding and the innkeepers are warm and welcoming. If you are vacationing in the western NC area, I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Anxious to return

My trip to Weaverville was for business and so not a "romantic" trip. But everything about my 4 days at the Inn indicated that it would be an outstanding location for a romantic get away. It was quiet with beautiful surroundings, great food, a glass of wine in the pm, very comfortable beds. I look forward to an opportunity to return.

Recommend Inn on Main

The innkeepers were very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending restaurants, places to go, and directions. Dan and Nancy made superb breakfasts! We had six and they were all good- especially enjoyed the muffins, fruit, French toast, and Fruitattas! Quaint inn close to Asheville and other attractions. There are many other attractions- hiking, rafting, massages, touring, shopping, and more. Loved our room! Fireplace really romantic and bed was comfortable. Enjoyed other guests (made some new, great friends) and the evening socials. Great place for younger and older couples to relax. This is down home southern hospitality. We will be visiting again and have recommended it to friends and family! Lee and Tricia

Enjoyed Our Stay

My husband and I chose the Inn due to its looks and its close enough proximity to the Biltmore Estate... and we were very pleased with our selection. The breakfasts were wonderful, the Innkeepers Dan and Nancy were delightful and our room was quaint, spotless and very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and will return to Weaversville! J&J C

Great room, breakfasts & hosts

We had a wonderful time there. Our hosts, Nancy and Dan are friendly, helpful, and respectful of their guests' space. We enjoyed outstanding breakfasts and felt totally at home – and pampered. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and recreation (and a masseuse!). Weaverville is a gem of a small town, and we look forward to going back there with friends.

Debbie Evers and Dayle Aiwasian

My sister-in-law from California and I (from Alabama) came up to this lovely Inn for my birthday weekend. We were very pleased with the Inn and the Innkeepers! The rooms were wonderful and very well appointed (both of us are antique buffs) Our hosts were very accommadating and friendly...and wonderful cooks...yum! The atmosphere was lovely and serene. Our hosts gave us lots of tips and suggestions for our visit to the Asheville area. We highly recommend the Inn on Main for your next visit to the Asheville area...Weaverville is just a hop, skip and a jump from all the attractions.

5-year Anniversary Trip

We recently celebrated our 5-year anniversary and decided to head for the mountains. I found the Inn on Main online, and made the reservation through their webpage. What a great place! The Inn was in walking distance to downtown Weaverville, which had plenty of nice shops and restaurants. The room was great, the house was clean and well-kept, and the service...well, Dan and Nancy made an excellent breakfast each morning. No need for lunch after eating breakfast on the back deck, which was pleasant even in late June. Our stay at the Inn on Main was worth every penny and a great experience.

Best B&B So Far

The Inn on Main Street was one of the best Bed and Breakfasts we've ever stayed in. The number one thing that impressed us was the warmth and hospitality of the owners, Dan and Nan. From making sure every delicious food item they prepared for us was keeping with my wife's Vegan diet to telling us where to go in Ashland (which is only 10 minutes away) and telling us stories about the area and its history (Dan was a local newspaper reporter and editor). The accommodations are charming (very "Victorian") and the breakfasts were delicious (especially the muffins!) which were served on the back porch veranda overlooking the small garden that provided some of the veggies for culinary creations served to us each morning. And as an extra little surprise, there were 3 restaurants with live music only 2 to 4 short blocks from the Inn - and the music was really good acoustic folk and rock. I would highly recommend the Inn on Main Street to anyone who wants a great bed and breakfast experience at a very reasonable price!
