Situated on a quiet, tree-lined street in a neighborhood of Victorian architecture, The Inn on Carleton is close to the center of downtown Portland. It's a short walk to the Portland Museum of Art, Maine Medical Center, the Performing Arts Center and the city's business district. “Very Pleasant stay”
Alec B2/27/2012
I travel a great deal in my work, and I have stayed in many fine places, all of which have one thing in common; the people who operate them. If you ever find yourself in Portland, I can't think of anyone else you'd rather stay with than the Inn on Carleton!

“A touch of class”
Sherry Stevers1/13/2011
Upon entering the Inn we new we made the right choice. Buddy greeted us at the front door with a smile and the whole weekend could not have been any better. The breakfast were excellent. And the basket of snacks out all day were a nice treat . And always warm cookies after dinner were waiting. We will return for sure. We can't wait to try the other guest rooms.
