York Harbor Suite

What a lovely inn with a cozy atmosphere, excellent hospitality, & delicious food. Felt almost “other-worldly” as we drove up to the Inn & saw all the beautiful lights. The York Harbor Suite was delightful and created a wonderful space for much-needed relaxation. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Billiard Room

We have stayed in a number of B&Bs over the years, and yours is one of the special ones! The welcoming graciousness of you two is reflected in the style and ambience of your “home”. It is comfortable, interesting, cozy, spacious, intimate, artistically laid out, and a relaxing home away from home. We both remarked spontaneously how we immediately felt a wonderful “fit” from the moment we walked in the front door. When we are back in Maine, we will hope to stay with you. We take fond memories of you and the Billiard Room with us.

The Library

The experience of staying in this sweet home in York is a big surprise to us during our two week trip in the US. We have traveled around the world and have stayed at many luxury hotels, the Inn at Tanglewood has given us an excellent impression, a warm home feeling!! It’s clean, quiet, comfortable, and thanks a lot for your great help. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Cottage Rose Suite

This place was exactly what we were wishing for. The house, the room, and the company were everything people think of when they think of Maine & a Bed & Breakfast. Absolutely the most perfect first Maine experience. Thank you for safe-guarding such a wonderful place! What a beautiful place to spend my 40th birthday! It took me 40 years to get here, and now I don’t want to leave. Thanks for memories of a lifetime.

York Harbor Suite

My wife and I were celebrating our 10th Anniversary. We had never been to New England, but always wanted to visit, so we decided to do it for this occasion. We couldn’t have selected a better B&B. We only had a vague idea of what we wanted to do in Maine (eat lobster & see a lighthouse). Andy did a great job providing tips of things to see, places to east, & routes to take. Also, when we first walked in the door, the smell of cinnamon-spiced granola greeted us & immediately transported us back in time, making us feel like we were little kids coming into Grandma’s house. And when they served the granola the next morning, it was like putting spoonfuls of heaven into your mouth with each bite. So, overall this has been an A+++ experience–Great location, great property, great inn, great food, & great traveling tips. Would definitely come back again!!

Captain's Quarters

Last time we were here, we got engaged! So as we were considering where to spend our first anniversary, our obvious first thought was here at the inn. As relaxing as ever, we have had another fabulous stay. Thanks for the tips as we revisited old favorite activities (the Cliff Walk is gorgeous, and a great way to burn off extra calories from a delicious breakfast) and we tried new restaurants (the Gigi’s recommendation was incredible–a great anniversary dinner). We hope to return soon and look forward to seeing you again!

We did not know what to expect on our first stay in a B&B. Let us say that Andy & Su have set the standard for what we'll expect in future getaways. The Inn is so clean and well kept. The food was magnificent and the coffee was strong. The atmosphere drains your stress away and replaces it with contentment and a feeling of peace. Thank you so very much. Your efforts and attention to detail made our stay here the first of many relaxing getaways.

I will be honest to say that the idea of Maine... in December... with snow... wasn't my idea of paradise. But we have had such a wonderful experience here. Thank you for Everything. Captain's Quarters

Our very first trip away together and we couldn't dream of a better place to have spent our evenings. Having stayed at a number of bed & breakfast establishments, we're both enthralled by the endearing qualities of Tanglewood; from the scent of breakfast reaching the bedroom, to being able to curl up in the Morning room learning a new board game. We really did feel like we were home when the day was done and we could come back to Tanglewood after exploring. Thank you for suggesting some new sites to explore ... so many wonderful things to do! We hope to see you again soon, maybe later this year or early 2013! You made our first vacation together a memorable one

From the minute we stepped onto your welcoming porch under that beautiful hydrangea, I knew we were going to feel so comfortable at Tanglewood Inn! ---and we were not disappointed! This room was our perfect hideaway with so much charm and space! The porch, the bed, the fire, the wonderful colors---all so memorable! Thank you for making our first trip to Maine one we will never forget: your wonderful charm and information and your delicious breakfast entrees. Hard to decide how it could have been better!

The last stop on our week trip along the Maine Coast was the warmest and friendliest with the best breakfast. No where else did the innkeepers show so much concern for the quality of our time on the premises. You and your inn enhanced our stay and added much to our memories.

Garden Canopy Room

Thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful home. Our room is soooo cozy and inviting..... we love the sound of the fountain outside our window. We took your advice and walked down to Long Sands Beach for an ocean view dinner at Lobster Cove and loved it! As we walked back to the Inn we were delighted by all the beautiful cute lights outside and on the porch. We have come to York to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and we are so happy we chose to stay at the Tanglewood Inn! This is exactly the relaxing & romantic getaway we were looking for! Thank you so much for your recommendations & hospitality! We definitely plan to visit again! Hope to see you again soon!
