Circa 1820. Sprawled on 10 acres in the peaceful foothills of the Berkshires, this converted barn (adjacent to the the owner's home) exudes country bliss. Post and beam construction, wide pine board floors and a brick fireplace highlight the Great Room. A simple decor showing Shaker influence offers casual, open comfort. Hand-painted murals embellish the walls of the guest bedrooms and suites with pleasing views of the perennial gardens and open fields. A great day might begin with apple pie pancakes or baked peach French toast to round off a full breakfast. A hammock and Adirondack chairs are placed throughout the grounds.
