Historic Interest
This is the home of pioneer doctor and businessman Dr. Dean Jewett Locke, benefactor and founder of the town. It is also home of his descendant John Willard Thorpe, noted aeronautical engineer and designer. The barn served as headquarters for the Mokelumne Light Dragoons during the Civil War.
