Circa 1884. Imagine a white steepled church, country store and a crystal-clear lake. This picture-perfect setting describes the quaint village surrounding this yellow and white Greek Revival Victorian landmark with porches on three levels. Built in 1884 by Nathanial Palmer, it has been a stagecoach stop, library, post office, boarding school and summer camp. Now the inn features delightful accommodations and amenities. Rest well in comfortable guest bedrooms, then enjoy a hearty breakfast with Bobby's Blueberry Bread, tasty muffins, fresh fruit and hot entrees. Relax in the living room by the large stone fireplace or peruse the extensive collection of videos and musical recordings in the TV/stereo nook. Read in the well-decorated yet intimate library. The Palmer House Pub is open to the public offering drinks, inventive pub fare and a full dining room menu.
