Elegantly Understated....

f there is such a term as elegantly understated, it would adequately describe this B & B. From the comfortable sitting room, fireplaces throughout, to the cozy kitchen dining area……on to the beautifully decorated bedrooms all with a beautiful view, you feel completely at home. When securing reservations, phone calls and emails were handled expediently and professionally. The B & B host, Matt, was not only informative, but both professional and personable from the moment we arrived. Beautifully restored, there is a crisp, fresh look to every room in the house. Even during “off season”, we had a lovely visit to Provincetown rivaled only by our gracious and comfortable stay. Whether staying for a quiet getaway, a romantic stay….no matter the reason, we highly recommend The White Porch Inn. We were welcomed as guests…..but it felt as if we left as friends.

The perfect New England B&B

My partner and I stayed at the White Porch Inn for our anniversary and loved it from the beginning we walked in the door. The house is tastefully renovated and decorated. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Being a clean freak I was happy to see the professionalism on how they maintain the property. Breakfasts and cocktails hours... SIMPLY DIVINE! Would I stay there again? We just booked our this year anniversary again and can't wait to come back.

What's not to like

From the White Porch's location to its beautifully appointed interior and above all its extremely professional and friendly inn keeper, Matthew, what's not to like? You would have to be the most grumpy of souls to find anything to fault at this establishment - and if you did it would be fixed in a moment. The rooms are delightful, we stayed in Long Point, which is a little jewel with a view of the harbour through the it's delightful windows. It is a small room but everything is so well thought through that 2 people can easily feel completely at home. You should note that breakfast is to die for and this Brit really enjoyed the two that I sampled. Timings suited the customer and the atmosphere was relaxed. Matthew, the inn keeper, is a major asset to any organisation. He was invariably happy, attentive and extremely professional. He lseems able to sense his involvement with you at all times. He is informal yet maintains his and your status through out. So in summary: should you find anything about the White Porch Inn that you don't like then put yourself forward for Cudmudgeon of the Month!
