Description

Circa 1898. Relax in a suite and pretend you are in Downton Abbey while staying in a Queen Anne Victorian home in the Historic District of Hermann. A basket of sweet breads, fruit, gooeybutter cakes, and juices offers guests the opportunity to eat breakfast on their own schedule. Exposed brick walls add a rustic ambiance to the large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub in the Victorian Room while the second-floor Sun Room has a private balcony overlooking historic homes. The nautical Captain's Room feels light and airy with vaulted ceilings and five large windows. Each room offers a queen-size bed, private bathroom, and comfortable robes. Sit on a rocking chair on the front porch or walk to restaurants and shops. Sample 14 award-winning wines at Adam Puchta Winery and learn about the history of the area at the German School Museum. Stroll through town to visit galleries and see more than 150 historic buildings. The town is nestled on the banks of the Missouri River.

Romantic Interest

The Iron Horse Inn has a nice veranda overlooking the flower gardens. There is a comfortable parlour for reading and conversation. The Victorian Room is especially romantic with a large jetted tub and an electric fireplace. The Sun Room has a balcony with views of other historic homes.

Roses and other flowers are in abundance during the Spring and Summer Months. Mums come into bloom in the fall.

Cancellation

$25 per night processing fee for changes or cancellations with 15 or more days prior to arrival notice; no cancellations within 14 days of arrival. Partial refund made if another guest is able to be placed into the canceled room. Group reservations (3-4 rooms) require prepayment 30 days in advance, and no cancellations within 30 days of arrival.
