Great Temporary Home

My wife and I stayed in the apartment for over 3 weeks while our house was being used for a Clint Eastwood movie. This was way better than an extended stay hotel. It was great to have the kitchen and laundry for such a long period as well as the relaxing gardens. Diana and Joe were excellent hosts and made sure we had a pleasant time. They even let us borrow the cats for company. We highly recommend Mileybright!

Mileybright is a beautifully appointed B&B. I stayed there with my sister in late winter 2012; which was unseasonably warm. We stayed in the Judge's Room, which included a gas burning fireplace. The fireplace was a welcomed amenity as temperatures got a little chilly in the evening. The room was quite spacious, and although this room didn't have a bathroom ensuite, it didn't bother me at all that I had to go down the hall for bathroom access. The bathroom was for use only by the occupants of the Judge's room, so it wasn't being shared with other occupants. I have stayed at numerous B&B's in the US and Canada, and this was the first time I had a room that did not have a lock on the door. That made me a little uncomfortable. It's not that I didn't trust the innkeepers, but this room is right inside the entrance to the B&B. We were toured through the entire B&B. One unique attribute to Mileybright is the on-site apartment, which was absolutely lovely. It would be ideal for people staying in the Atlanta area for an extended period of time, or for people visiting the area as a family or small group. The apartment had ALL the amenities. I would have been happy to move right in! Breakfast was very healthy and included fresh fruit. I would have like some protein in the breakfast menu, though, but none was to be had. Diane and Joe epitomize what I think innkeepers should be. They're both very friendly and are truly customer oriented. Our overall experience was positive, and I would certainly stay at Mileybright Farmhouse, again, if I'm in the area.

What A Wonderful Inn!

I recently stayed at the Mileybright Farmhouse and I had a spectacular time! This is actually my second time staying at this inn and I highly recommend it to everyone who will travel to the the Greater Atlanta area. Diana and Joe are absolutely wonderful hosts; they are warm and welcoming and they made this inn feel just like home. The inn is a historic farmhouse that has been incredibly restored and it adds to the relaxing atmosphere. My bedroom was extremely comfortable and I really had a chance to unwind, relax, and get myself rejuvenated. You'll wake up to the perfect continental breakfast, and you'll also be greeted by the "associate innkeepers", Connie and Lucky (the pair of cats who fall in love with all the guests). There are great restaurants nearby for dinner, and the inn is easily accessible from I-285. Do yourself a favor and spend some time here. Oh-and the price is right, too!

Lovely Mom Getaway

Beautiful. Joe and Diana were wonderful hosts. I had a much needed restful and peaceful weekend. The apartment reminded me so much of visits to my grandmother's home during my youth. The bed linens were of such fine quality, I was tempted to simply stay in bed all day! When I entered the gorgeous room and saw the flowers and chocolates from my goddaughter, I knew this was the right place for me. If I need to escape again, it would be an honor if I could return to your lovely home...I might even bring my husband!

Perfect weekend

Gift to my Mother-in-Law (her 91st birthday), who lives in a nearby retirement center, was a weekend at Mileybright Farmhouse...a "Stay-cation" in Decatur! My husband and I were able to host her in the beautiful two-bedroom suite, and she felt that she was treated like a queen! She was greeted as a VIP by Diana and Joe Simon, and was so captivated by her surroundings. Since she had lived in the area previously, she enjoyed reminiscing about the people and places surrounding her. Sittin' and swingin' on the front porch was so relaxing, and she enjoyed meeting the other guests at the Farmhouse -- We all gathered in the living room to serenade her for her birthday! Our kitchen was stocked with great breakfast foods and fresh artisan breads from the Farmers Market! The living area was beautifully appointed, included a fireplace, dining table,Wifi, Direct TV connection, and interesting vintage furniture and lamps...very, very, very clean! We also had access to the washer/dryer in this apartment, as well as a small veranda off the back overlooking the vegetable and herb garden. Diana and Joe provided history, photos, etc. of the Farmhouse...and gave us useful maps and directions to places of interest -- don't miss the Decatur Diner. What a wonderful experience for us, and we plan to party again at Mileybright.

Loved Decatur and this Farmhouse

My husband and I spent a night in the upstairs bedroom. The room was just beautiful- large with high ceiling, and furnished with interesting decor. A ceiling fan helps keep the room nice and cool. Very comfy bed. The bathroom was good, and it didn't really bother us that it was out in the hall rather than en-suite. You are the only guests that will be using it. We never heard any noise from other guestrooms or plumbing, perhaps since we were on the top floor. This home is 100 years old so the floors and doors squeak a bit as you would expect. I am a light sleeper so I did notice some street noise since this room is at the front of the house. Hosts were very laid back. Breakfast was super-casual, and we were allowed to eat whenever we were ready instead of a set time which was much appreciated. We LOVED LOVED LOVED downtown Decatur! It's a very short drive from the B&B, and loaded with quaint brick-and-mortar shops and restaurants. You can park your car and walk everywhere. Very pleasant, friendly and safe. A GREAT option if you're spending time in the Atlanta area. You can't beat the price, too!
