Circa 1947. Casual elegance, personal service and traditional hospitality are the three trademarks of this family-owned boutique hotel in the village of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. It is located just one block from the child-friendly City Park and eight blocks from the white sand of Carmel Beach. Swim in the heated pool and relax in the men's and women's dry saunas. Some of the guest rooms or suites feature a fireplace, private balcony with ocean view over the pine trees, wet bar, or a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. There are designated dog-friendly rooms as well. Wake up refreshed each morning and enjoy a continental breakfast before exploring the scenic area. Northern California has numerous adventures waiting to be experienced.

Our king suites are large rooms with an ocean view and fireplace. You can walk everywhere in Carmel from the Hofsas House. Enjoy a walk on the beach or a beach fire with the beach fire & s'more bundle that can be purchased from us.

What's Green About Your Inn

We have a recycling program on site and encourage our guests to walk everywhere in Carmel once they arrive. In 2008 we installed double-paned windows in all of our guest rooms to help save energy.

Reservation/Cancellation Policies:

Minimum Stay Requirements

From April to October a minimum of two nights is required if arriving on a Friday or Saturday. Please call to check since we may have a room available if there is an early checkout.

Cancellation

If more than 72 hours notice is given, there is no penalty. If a reservation is cancelled within the 72 hour period then one room night is charged if the room is not rented.
