First Timer Heavenly retreat

We stayed at Highland Haven 6 months ago on our first trip to Colorado. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. Comfortable, romantic, cozy and warm, a home away from home. We found the staff friendly and very helpful in our first trip west. From making our couple time special to helping us navigate things to see in the 4 days we were there. We plan a return trip sooner rather than later!

Amazing!

The Highland Haven is an amazing inn. It's very romantic and cozy in the midst of breathtaking scenery. The staff is great and the food was delicious! We stayed there for our wedding night last year and plan to go back every year to celebrate our anniversary. This place is a hidden gem!

Romantic

We stayed at Highland Haven for our 25th wedding anniversay. The atmosphere was calm, secluded and very romantic. The owners and managers made sure to help us do as little or as much as we wanted. And the food and the room were fantastic!

WONDERFUL!!

My Husband and I got married here at the Highland Haven in March of 08. The place was absolutely wonderful from the time we checked in to the time we left. Perfect place for whatever it is that you are looking for. The romance starts from the time you walk into your room. We are going back in March and cant wait. Perfect Place... BEST OF THE BEST

Great Romantic Getaway

The Highland Haven is that perfect place to rekindle the romance of your relationship.Spending those quiet moments together in this fast paced life come at a premium and the Highland Haven is ideal for creating the time to shut the world out and focus on each other! Their is a beautiful sculpture there to remind couples of why they fell in love too!

A Place for Celebration

My husband and I are long-time Evergreen residents. We love to travel, but when it's time to celebrate a special occasion- birthday, anniversary, retirement- Highland Haven is one of the first places that comes to mind. We love the place: the location is gorgeous, and the staff is dedicated to making us feel special and pampered.

Our Romance Haven

We have been going to Highland Haven Creekside Inn for over 13 years, and it is what we think of when we think Romance. There is not a better place to spend with your love. Sitting on your porch in Blue Spruce and sipping Champagne among the Hummingbirds, Aspens & Evergreens is a great way to re-connect! Every detail, from the romance trays to the scrumptious breakfast, is so well thought out. From quick one-night get aways', Valentines Day, our Wedding Night, or when we need to check out & just be "us", there is no better place to do that than Highland Haven...our Romance Haven!

Even in Winter!

Highland Haven is a dream of a place to visit. If romance is the heart of your travel need, this place is the heart of your romance--snowflakes on your hair, pine-scented breezes, a welcoming fire in your room...I never wanted to leave it.

InnSide Tip - Stay on!
My best tip is this--stay more than one night! Walk the old main street of Evergreen! Go to Evergreen lake! And cozy into that wonderful, warm, soft room. I'd live there if I could.

Highland Haven- Inn for all Seasons

Our family travels alot. We always stay in the finest hotels and inns all over the world. One of our favorite and most romantic destinations is the Highland Haven located in Evergreen. Our son attends school in Evergreen and we have been fortunate to visit the area many times over the last two years. Once we were the guests of Gail, Roxy, and Blake together with the entire staff at Highland Haven we were hooked. It did not make a difference if it was fall, winter, or spring there the scenery was breathtaking. All of the rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques, photographs, and all are unique. The personal touches are visible from the check-in, the wine in the room, home-made cookies waiting on the nightstand, and welcoming note. After arriving I would often take a glass of wine and sit beside the creek that runs through the property and bid my troubles goodby. Each morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast eaten in family style and met and spoke with other lucky travellers who had also found this romantic haven. Our son leaves this June to come home but we will always make Highland Haven our home away from home.

Height of Hospitality

The Highland Haven property, staff, service, guest rooms, food and overall exterior and interior ambiance cannot be surpassed! From crossing the bridge over Bear Creek to the canine and human welcoming committee to the 'never want to leave' comfort of each individually decorated room to the gourmet breakfast each morning---their attention to detail and their mission to make each guest's experience a memorable one makes the Highland Haven an INN-spiring and INN-comparable place to spend time.

InnSide Tip - Pics and Prose
Don't forget your camera and a journal as sightings of wildlife are frequent and the comfortable chairs next to the stream that runs alongside the Highland Haven provides the opportunity for writing inspiring thoughts, ideas.

Why stay anywhere else for Romance!

We have been repeat guests for the last 15 years and have never had a bad experience. Gail and her staff always remember us and what we like. Ours kids have grown up visiting "The Haven" . Hopefully they too will be able to visit with their kids. The rooms and breakfasts are exceptional.

Thanksgiving

We found Highlands Haven years ago when we decided to get away for the weekend so we can could spend Thanksgiving as a couple before we celebrated with our familes. We had the most romatic and relaxing time and are forever fans of HH. We live only 20 minutes away and feel we are in a true mountain retreat when we go and wihtout the traffic.

Best Inn In America

Our two favorite inns in the world are Hiiragiya Ryokan in Kyoto and Highland Haven in Evergreen. Highland Haven has been like a second family to us for the past two years. This is a well run establishment with a young and attractive staff, owned and operated by expert professionals yet it retains a welcoming, homey feel. On our second stay my son complimented Roxy on the chocolate filled croissants. On every sunsequent stay they always had a plate of the delicious pastries set aside for him. All the rooms & suites are beatifully decorated in keeping with the magnificient setting. Blake ensures that all your needs are met and Gale has the keen eye and senses of a curator. There are delightful and intersting surprises everywhere you look. The rooms are very private and very romantic, many with fireplaces and whirpools. Every room has a guest book filled with happy and appreciative notes from honeymooners, young families and seasoned couples.

Paradiso Secreto

We are frequent guests at the Highland Haven. Although we recommmend it to anyone we can, we like to think of it as our Paradiso Secreto (Secret Paradise). We are avid travellers and in some cases we have travelled halfway around the world only to be disappointed becasue we did not enjoy it as much as the Haven!!! Carla & Mike Parker Colorado

13 years and still going....

We have been going to the Highland Haven for 13 years for our wedding Anniversarys, and whenever we get an extra weekend, we go there too. It's the BEST place EVER, and the breakfast is to die for. Sitting by the creek at night with a drink and then in the morning with coffee, is our favorite part.

Anniversary Trip

We recently spent five days at the Highland Havens Creekside Inn celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. It had come highly recommended. The breakfasts were excellent and the coffee plentiful. WE were left to be on our own but when we asked for recommendations on sights to see, places to eat, or shop, the staff was full of ideas. Friendly, staff, relaxing environment, comfortable rooms, and breakfasts worth waking up for highlight this inn. Then there is the setting -- a God made place.

Romantic

If you are looking for romance this is the place, with towering Blue Spruces, the Highland Haven sits right on the creek and has cottages with hot tubs, steam showers, fireplaces and even a brand new Tree House suite with a champagne bubble tub. No forced romance just the beauty of nature with all the best in luxury!
