wind chimes

Thank you for letting us enjoy your delightful porch on a very hot, windy day. My mom and I both thought your wind chimes ere making beautiful music of it's own.

My new escape destination...

Maureen & John, What a beautiful place you have. Looking forward to returning for a balloon ride and perhaps some painting. Might find myself staying for a month. :) Great visit, food & hospitality.

Relaxing, extended weekend...

We are definitely coming back! John & Maureen were the most gracious Hosts. The entire stay was a "Favorite Moment"! We couldn't praise the Feather Tick'n Thyme enough. Our experience was completely positive.

Winter Therapy

In January of 2010, I was fortunate enough to stay, again, at the Feather, Tick'n Thyme B&B in Prattsburgh, New York. Innkeepers John and Maureen Kunak's lovely home and pristine property have long afforded me serene and therapeutic breaks from my somewhat stressful life. A fresh snow had blanketed the entire property, and a magical mist swirled around barn, forest, and stream. Out to the woods I went with my camera. I was entranced by the mystical views afforded me by this B&B, which is far from the chaos of city and town. The beauty and silence of this day on this property was enchanting. I could not help thinking about the words of a New England poet, who understood the power of Nature's beauty on human beings. "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost. The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. (Lines 13-14). Although I may know "whose woods these are" (Line 1), I could not help thinking that they belonged to me. C.E. 3 Wonderful Days

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and we couldn't have been more happy. We loved the peace and quiet of the country, the beauty of the area, and the owners were great. The house and rooms are cute and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and Maureen really helped me plan activities in the area. There are walking paths, goats you can pet, horses across the street, and Alpacas that are interesting. Because it is in the country though we didn't get cell phone service until we got back near town and the shower/toilet area is small.

A Romantic Getaway

This B&B is the perfect place to get away from it all. It is so quiet and relaxing that it makes you feel right at home. The accomodations are superb! It is a very well maintained & very clean. The added little touches make it all worthwhile. We have stayed here twice and found it well worth the stay both times. We enjoyed the good conversation, the unforgettable breakfasts, the ability to walk around & see the sights along with the conveinence of getting to the wineries closeby. We even took a great hot-air baloon ride which departed from the B&B! We definitly reccomend this place for a great getaway for any occassion.

A Great Place to Stay

Terrific breakfasts and a hot air balloon ride! Very quiet and peacefull with no TV. However, the owners let us use their own personal family room in order to view the presidential debates on their TV. Very accommodating! The hot air balloon ride took off from their side yard and they both helped in the chase car and landing the balloon. Wonderful fall scenery from 2500 feet in the air. You need to see the barn and gift shop on the property. By this summer, the barn renovations should be completed into a magical banquet hall. We would not hesitate to recommend this B&B and would stay there again. They had wifi so we could keep in contact with the outside world. The central location is close to all the wineries for wine tasting around both Keuga and Seneca lakes.

Good home base for wedding nearby

We booked all the rooms for our grown kids for a long weekend last summer when our daughter was married at nearby Hunt Country Vineyards. It was a nice place for us all to gather each morning around the breakfast table, and to spend quality time with each other. The host, John, took us up the hill for a better view of the valley, and Maureen was very accommodating. We certainly recommend this inn for its proximity to Keuka Lake and nearby vineyards.
