Description

Circa 1906. A meticulously restored historic Pacific Coast Steamship Company building and a newly built boathouse comprise this coastal getaway only an hour from San Jose. Relax in front of the parlor fireplace or peruse the reading library and browse through area guidebooks. The inn's nautical décor includes a touch of whimsy in the guest bedrooms that are furnished with antiques and thoughtful amenities like robes, plush-top mattresses and feather pillows. Stay in a room with a fireplace and soaking or clawfoot tub for two. Continental fare is available to early risers. Later in the dining room, a home-cooked breakfast full of traditional classics and recipes from German grandmothers are served. Walk to ocean beaches, shops and art studios.

Historic Interest

Our main building was built as the Pacific Coast Steamship Co. offices in 1906. It is an American Colonial Revival architecture with solid redwood trimboards and a redwood staircase. The company safe is still in the parlor.
