Hyde Park is the county seat of Lamoille County. The village is home to the County Courthouse and the Hyde Park Opera House. A stroll through the streets shows off a variety of architectural styles, with Greek Revival dominating. Once a busy town with the 'world's largest tannery' and a busy depot on the St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County Railroad, it's now a quiet village on the Lamoille Rail Trail.
