Circa 1740. The Brewster family, whose great-great grandfather arrived on the Mayflower, owned this Colonial farmhouse for 250 years. Now the Bauers have lovingly renovated the home, which is listed in the National Register. Furnished with antiques and period reproductions, the inn's tasteful decor is accented with an artistic hand-stenciled wood floor and wall border. A sitting room overlooks the golf course and offers gorgeous sunset views. Charming guest bedrooms are well suited for romance, families or business. Luxury abounds with plush robes, candles, aromatherapy personal products, fresh flowers and fine linens on the handmade white oak and pencil post beds. Farm-fresh eggs are part of a scrumptious candlelight breakfast served in the Keeping Room. The extensive grounds, a Certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat, feature a koi pond, kitchen garden, orchard, grape arbor and flower gardens that welcome birds and butterflies.
