A Romantic and Relaxing getaway

A lovely romantic and relaxing getaway. The Inn is beautiful but the little touches really make the difference wine + Cheese, water + cookies, help with dinner reservations, etc. make the Jacob Hill Inn stand out for us. We'll be back.

Romantic Treasure

Romantic elegance can best describe the lovely rooms and surrounding estate at The Jacob Hill Inn. We've enjoyed this New England treasure since 2008. Though its convenient to many fine attractions, we often prefer to spend our time simply relaxing and being pampered at the inn. Detail oriented and personable innkeepers, Eleonora and Bill, make this a special haven!

Favorite B&B

I stayed at Jacob Hill several times when visiting my daughter while she was attending Brown University (though in Ma, the inn is a short drive from Providence). To give you an idea of the kind of welcome you will get there, the first time I stayed, I arrived after dark in the rain. Both Bill and Eleonora (the innkeepers/owners) met me at my car with an umbrella! The service and individual attention truly exceeds expectations. The inn itself is exquisite, and in a beautiful, quiet country setting.

Romantic

My fiance and I make it a ritual to make Jacob Hill one of our many Romantic getaways every year! The decor, food, service and the property is just gorgeous! My favorite room is the Newport Suite. OMG...the fireplace, jacuzzi with our favorite love songs gets us in the mood very quickly!!! We commute from NY every year but the commute is very sceanic and relaxing. The directions Bill & Elenora gave us is right on point. You cannot get lost. Bill & Elenora has become family to us...Their strong love they have for each other is very infectious once you meet them. See Ya soon!

Romantic

Jacob's Hill is one of the warmest and most charming inns we've visited, and we've visited many all along the East coast. The hosts are attentive but not obtrusive, the rooms are both immaculate and intimate, and the setting is green and private. We visited regularly during our daughter's college years at Brown in nearby Providence and enjoyed ourselves doubly because Romantic appeal of Jacob's Hill Inn.

Great B&B for a Romantic Retreat

This will be the second year in a row that my wife and I will be going back to the Jacob Hill Inn. We just fell in love with the grounds, rooms and hospitallity of the Inn Keepers. We took advantage of the 3 day special package and had a romantic weekend with a complimenary bottle of Champagne.

The Best Romantic Stay

8/18/2010 My husband and I just returned from a romantic getaway at the Historic Jacob Hill Inn. We have so many wonderful things to say in such a little space. When we first arrived, we were warmly greeted by Bill and Elenora. Then we proceeded to our room the Newport Suite. From the fine craftmanship, to the sparkling cleaniness of the room, this was definately a place for us. The abiance was absolutely as romantic as romantic could be. We loved it, and would definately return. Thank you Bill and Elenora for a great stay.

EVERYTHING ROMANTIC

Upon our arrival at Jacob Hill Inn, we were greeted by Bill who showed us to our room while sharing the unique history of Jacob Hill along the way. My wife fell in love with the room, which made my day. We had sumptuous dinners at restaurants recommended by Eleanora. Our days were spent exploring and our evenings snuggling up to a warm fire with a chilled glass of champagne. Thank you Bill and El.

Perfect Romantic getaway souvenir

My husband and I decided we needed a romantic getaway, just the two of us with out the stress of our daily schedules. Jacob Hill turned out to be perfect solution. We stayed here for a few days in May and it was fantastic. It was quiet, relaxing and totally romantic with all the beautiful spring flowers coming in. We stayed in the Boston room which was amazing. From the perfect weekend getaway we will be getting the perfect souvenir (which we have been waiting 2 years for) in February.

Most Romantic Of All Time

My husband and I spent a few weekend getaways at the most amazing jewel, the Historic Jacob Hill Inn. We were first struck with how utterly enchanting this location was but then... we were totally taken by the impeccable service, kindness and caring by this special couple who treats their guests like royalty. From the moment you pull up to the inn to the moment you exit, they spin you in a web of romanticm. Each time we visit, my husband and I fall in love all over again.

soooo romantic

My husband and I have been traveling to New England for years, and have always stayed in B & B's. This has by far become our favorite spot to get away and spend some time alone together, away from our busy life. It is always so beautiful and romantic here,no matter what the season. When we stayed in winter, it was wonderful to relax in the tub with the fire going in our cozy room. On one of our return trips during warmer weather, we loved sitting outside on the porch in the evening with a bottle of wine to relax and and look at the stars and enjoy the serenity. It feels like you are secluded away from everyday life in your own private, romantic getaway, but at the same time so close to so much. Bill and Eleanora always treat you as if you were part of their family. We can't wait for our next visit in October

Heading to Federal Hill in Providence is a must. Fantastic restaurants. We highly recommend getting pastries from any one of the numerous bakeries (we have tried most of them) and bringing them back to the inn to enjoy by the fire in the privacy of your room.

Last minute romantic anniversary

To make a long story short, In my typical fashion, work first, oops its my anniversary again second, I found myself once again in an awkward situation. It was wednesday and I forgot all about our five year. She did not. A friend said, you should take her to a BnB. I typically stay at upscale hotels for business and pretty much just sleep there so I never even thought of this as an option. Well I called and was able to make a reservation and I am sure glad I did. Bill and El were extremely accomodating from the moment I placed the call till our arrival and throughout the stay. This was an experience I was not used to and has definately changed my mind about what a BnB is. I assumed I would be sharing a bathroom with other people, not even close,We had a spacious room with a huge jacuzzi tub. We arrived five minutes outside the city turned up a hill and bam we were smack dab in the middle of a historic hunt club. It had the old world charm with all the modern amenities and luxurys that I would expect. Bill and El were courteous and provided just the right amount of welcoming but also made sure of our privacy as well. So what started out as a last minute hail mary turned out to be one of the most romantic experiences that I can remember. What started out as our fifth wedding anniversary quickly felt like it was our first in this hidden gem outside of Providence.

A romantic trip into history

Of the many inns and hotels available to us in the Souteastern New England area, our absolute favorite is the Jacob Hill Inn, an authentic historic property in Seekonk, MA. The suites are all lovely and the elementS of romance and relaxation are actually tangible. Attention to decorating details emphasizes the comfort of the guest who is always the priority here. What could be more romantic than a fireplace or a jacuzzi right in your room? It is obvious from the moment you enter the white barn and see the interior in pristine white and have your first glance into the breakfast room in the first level that this inn has been preserved in a special way by the innkeepers, Bill and Elenora. They are present and knowledgeable to answer inquiries or requests, but remain quietly unobtrusive otherwise. The richness and comfort of the suites, the romantic and charming elegance of the furnishings truly wrap the guests in luxury. What a wonderful getaway experience so close to Providence with numerous great restaurants and shops in the area. There is no room here for any of the pressures or demands of "daily life." The ambiance at Jacob Hill Inn allows us to feel renewed in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.

We have stayed at Jacob Hill Inn several times and each extended weekend has become a special memory for us. The inns owners are gracious hosts and are great guides to the areas food and antiquing locations. A great place for a relaxing, romantic time in a peaceful countryside location. Breakfast was super and a great start of each day. The inns decor is so picture perfect. We felt like we were very special and truly love this place!ROMANTIC, yes.

ROMANTIC RENEWAL

Where do I begin? With all the hustle and bustle in todays world, my husband and I were completely enthralled by our romantic stay at the Jacob Hill Inn. The inn was beautifully restored and has all the charm of yesteryear with the ammenities of today(outdoor pool, billard room, tv lounge, pingpong and tennis court. Each room is uniquely decorated. Our room was awaiting our return each evening with a blazing fire along with chocolates, cookies and champagne. The homemade breafast was delicious. The owners Bill and Eleanora make sure that your stay is a memorable one. We will be back!

Romantic Getaway

Jacob Hill is a hideaway for romantics. This inn which once housed the Vanderbilts is complete with a main house and a beautifully 'converted barn'. We have stayed at the inn many times. In each case we are greeted personally upon arrival by Bill. Bills' large grin and embracing hugs assure us each time that we are family and not guests. 'Our room' in the main house with a natural fireplace, four poster bed, freshly baked cookies is so beautiful and romantic. The decor throughout the inn that is so thoughtfully hand picked by El, shows a dedication to the inn that we have never seen in all our travels. Every morning breakfast with the signature stuffed french toast is a great way to start your day. A roaring fireplace makes a perfect way to end your day. This inn is definitely on our list of places that we visit over and over again.

Romantic Second Honeymoon

We spent 10 days at the Historic Jacob Hill Inn. The staff was attentive to our every need, the accommodations were sumptuous and the Inn itself, while quiet and relaxing, was close to everything. The two person Jacuzzi in front of a fireplace, with candlelight, luxury soaps and thick, thirsty towels was the perfect ending to whatever kind of day we had had. The ambiance whispered romance regardless of how long you have been together. We rate it a 15 on a scale of 10.

Inn of Romance

When we arrive we felt like we were home. Bill and Eleonora made us feel so welcome. Our room was spectacular. After Twenty two years of marriage, it still felt like our honeymoon. The company and atmosphere was fabulous. The grounds were amazingly manicured as we sat in the gazebo to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Romantic Honeymoon for Us

We arrived at the Jacob Hill Inn engaged and left Newly Wed - and never mentioned our status until we checked out. Still, we were treated like a king and queen and when we revealed our marriage to Bill and Elenora they were disappointed because they wanted to do more than they already had for us. But what more to ask for than immaculate rooms and personal loving service. A wonderful place owned and run by wonderful people.

Whether you will be spring or winter guest - Bill and El will greet you in friendship. My husband and I have been annual guests since 2004. Breakfast is delicious with tulips or snowflakes in the morning. Comfortable kingsize beds and luxurious jacuzzi tubs make your visit perfect. Champagne anc chocolates are an added bonus. Romatic in New England

Linda and I are married for thirty-seven years. Five years ago we discovered the Jacob Hill Inn. Bill and Eleanora, our hosts, made sure every detail is perfect for our visit. The rooms are outstanding, created by Bill's hard work and Eleanors's personal touch for just that right romantic get away. We will be going back again this December for another great weekend in New England.

Our Favorite Romantic Inn!!!

We fell in love with Jacob Hill Inn the first time we stayed there and return on a regular basis. We have spent several romantic anniversaries there. El and Bill treat their guests as family and no request is too big or too small for them to assist with. We have had lovely anniversary dinners at very nice restaurants recommended by them. The rooms are well-appointed and romantic with their fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. Sitting by the outdoor pool and looking over the beautiful property is very relaxing. We highly recommend this beautiful and romantic inn. We always look forward to our next visit. It is our "private home away from home".

The romance of years gone by...

...is in the present. The Historic Jacob Hill Inn reflects the romance of days gone by, when the Vanderbilts rode their horses and drove up in buggies. The owners, Eleonor and Bill have kept the charm of the old and brought it into the prsent, maintaining the flavor of times past when grace and elegance ruled. The riding theme is carried throughout this fastidiously maintained inn. Rooms with jacuzzis are available. Guests are welcomed with a cheese plate and veggies, hot and cold drinks are always available, the day begins with a luscious breakfast. Enjoy the television/pool/game room or walk the grounds, sit in the gazebo, take a dip in the pool. The feelings of comfort and friendliness surround you.

Perfection Near Providence

Jacob Hill Inn in Seekonk, MA has become our favorite New England destination. All the suites are spotless and beautifully appointed. The inn is very private and romantic, but so close to Providence and Newport with their fine restaurants and attractions. Innkeepers Bill and Eleonora are very knowledgeable and eager to help with recommendations and reservation. This inn is perfect inside and out with its elegant grounds.

Romantic, quiet, lovely Inn

This inn quickly became our GoTo B&B when we visit RI which is about three times a year. We like it because of the generous and friendly innkeepers and the attention to detail that is evident everywhere. The rooms are spacious and really pretty and comfortable. Breakfast is great and there are other treats that one doesn't find everywhere--I won't give away the pleasant surprises. We love the cleanliness and big bathrooms, the environment and just so look forward to being at the Historic Jacob Hill Inn. Monique and John Jevne

ROMANTIC

The Jacob Hill Inn, is our favorite place to stay when my sweetheart and I can spend time together. He is in the NAVY on the east coast and I fly from California to see him. One of the highlights of our trip is going to see Bill and Eleonora at this quaint Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are warm, cozy and extremely inviting. I adore the whirlpool tubs, and each room has its own theme and feel. Bill and Eleonora always remember us when we walk in, and are greeted by both. I love love love this bed and breakfast, and always sing its praises to others traveling near Rhode Island.

The perfect romantic getaway!

My husband and I are frequent visitors to the Jacob Hill Inn, located just outside Providence, RI. It's our favorite place for a romantic weekend getaway! Innkeepers Bill and Eleanor Rezek are the perfect hosts, warm, friendly and knowledgeable, and their historic inn is beautifully and thoughtfully restored, with wonderful touches throughout (Champagne, cheese plates, homemade cookies, chocolates, luxurious robes and toiletries, as well as decadent breakfasts). The bedroom suites are elegant and very private, and the inn boasts several common areas as well as a pool and tennis court. A lovely, hospitable retreat for those seeking a romantic getaway!

Unmatched hospitality

We love Jacob Hill Inn. We stayed at the Inn twice and found it perfect for a few days of quiet reflection. Each suite is uniquely and beatifully designed (we stayed at the Newport Suite and the Grand Suite). I enjoy noticing the details with each glance around and feeling the loving touch the owners, Eleonora and Bill, have put into decorating. Eleonora and Bill are very warm and make the guests feel very welcome, ready to answer questions about the events around or help with driving directions. Whether it's watching the fire on a cold November day or taking a dip in a swimming pool in the heat of July, we find Jacob Hill Inn a comfortable and beautiful place to stay.

Romantic

The Jacob Hill Inn is the absolutely most cozy and romantic establishment if looking for just that. We have had the pleasure of being there more than once and look forward to many more visits. In addition to Bill and El's hospitality the Inn provides the perfect place to relax and put your feet up with a glass of wine and a fireplace in each room. I might mention the terrific breakfast we always get! We can't wait for your next trip.

Charming and Romantic

I've been to Jacob Hill Inn twice and each time I had a wonderful experience. The Inn is beautifully decorated, the common areas are cozy and the breakfasts they serve are very delicious. Each room has a fireplace, luxurious bed and whirlpool tub. Bill and Eleanora are not only gracious hosts, but they also are very knowledgeable about the area. Amazing Inn near Providence!

My Fiance and I stayed here for New Years Eve and loved this place! The Inn is a beautifully restored hunt club that has been tastefully decorated. The rooms were so cozy and romantic. We had a real wood burning fire place in the room and a jacuzzi tub! The owners Eleanor and Bill were so warm and friendly and catered to our every need. They cooked up a home made delicious breakfast every morning and even made a special meal for me (I have a gluten allergy). The Inn is beautifully restored and each room had its own distinct history. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay and would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for a romantic get away.

a gem

After coming back from our second stay at The Jacob Hill Inn, it is highly time to write a review about this remarkable inn. We loved the charming inn from the time we drove up! We were greeted by Bill who came outside to help with our bags and brought us into our room which was painted with the most appealing colors and had a fireplace in both the bed and bath rooms. There was nothing left to the imagination. The hospitality was unlike anywhere we have ever stayed which was why we went back this past month. We were once again greeted with open arms. Now, the entire barn has been renovated and we were able to stay in the most romantic room with a wood fireplace and view of the property. There are always homemade cookies in the room and a cheese platter s upon arrival. We had delightful conversations with Bill and Eleanor and they set us up for dinner at a fantastic restaurant nearby. We enjoyed a few games of pool in their newly renovated billiards room, where we felt right at home. In the morning we were able to look out on the field which was blanketed with some snow, in which Bill brushed off our car. We were able to enjoy Eleanor’s famous granola and stuffed French toast. The detail is just impeccable and we can’t speak highly enough about Bill and Eleanor and their inn. We had an amazing trip once again and can’t wait to go back again.

Romantic Jacob Hill

Romantic certainly describes Historic Jacob Hill Inn. Our room, the Providence Suite, included features like electric fireplaces (one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom!) and a Jacuzzi tub. It was our own private retreat, perfect for relaxing with the cheese tray our hosts provided for us each evening of our stay. Our hosts, Bill and Eleonora, did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant and worry-free as possible...providing information about the area, suggesting places to go, making dinner reservations for us, and giving us detailed driving directions to our desired destinations. We loved our stay at Jacob Hill. I've got a review and some photos at http://www.midwestguest.com/2008/09/gracious-hospitality-at-historic-jacob-hill-inn.html

Like Staying at Your Best Friends!

This is definately the nicest B&B experience that I have had. I found the inn to be so beautifully rennovated and decorated and the hospitality to be nothing less than first class. Bill and Eleanora as well as Alice and John made me feel right at home going out of there way to be curteous, friendly and take special care in my dietary needs each morning. I stayed in the Boston Suite which was very large, clean and decorated with great attention to detail. As I was by myself during this trip. Bill and Eleanora made me feel at home taking the time for fun and friendly conversation. I was delighted and definately plan to return to Jacob Hill.

a wonderful weekend experience

We booked this in as a last minute 4th of July weekend escape. We are very glad we did. The rooms at the Inn were beautiful. Each was well decorated and immaculately maintained. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and cheese and crackers. Bill and El (the innkeepers) could not do enough for us. They take great pride in what they do and rightfully so. We used the pool, tennis courts and pool table while there. All were well maintained and a pleasure to use. We got great recommendations on where to go for diner as well as whale watching. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone looking to get away but still be close enough to get out:) It is near Plymouth, Providence, and not too far from Mystic. It was a great weekend.

A supurb weekend getaway!

We came down for a long weekend so I could attend a horse show in the Providence area. Horse shows can be stressful and they require a lot of hard work and preparation. The Jacob Hill in was perfect because we had a welcoming, comfortable place to come home to each evening. Bill and Eleanora made us feel so at-home and at-ease, I was able to realx and enjoy the evenings with my husband. I slept like a rock and my horse and I brought home a very nice third place ribbon. We will absolutely be back!

The Best Yet

July 25, 2008 was our third or fourth visit to Jacob Hill Inn, the last one being about 6 years ago. We were struck with the improvements, particularly to the barn, that had taken place in the meantime. We were likewise struck with the greeting we received from Bill and Elinora. We felt like family. The accommodations and breakfast were up to the usual spectactular standards. We hope to return soon.

New England at its best!

We recently celebrated a birthday with a stay at Jacob Hill Inn. Wow! We were treated to a truly wonderful, top-notch B&B experience! The grounds are classic New England, lovely and peaceful - perfect for a stroll or read a book (have a picnic) under a huge, shaded tree. It’s a great place to walk, jog or bike along the long, quiet country roads. Our suite was located in the beautifully renovated huge “White Barn”. Both the room and barn are uniquely furnished, spotless, inviting and each with an unusual tale of its own (ask Bill). The owners, Bill and El, are fabulous hosts – so gracious and are great, interesting conversationalists. They love what they do and it shows. Be assured that everything you read and view on their website is what you get and MORE… a warm, hearty welcome, help with your luggage, a glass of whatever beverage suits you, a fascinating tour of the inn, your own personal cheese tray, delicious cookies nestled in a mason jar, a full selection of fine toiletries, Godivas and soft lights greet you as you return to your room in the evening, a luscious, home-cooked breakfast in the morning, and a departing “gift bag”. And to make you really feel at home: a refrigerator filled with chilled soft drinks and a coffee brewer with a wonderful selection of coffee, teas and cocoa (divine) are there for you to use whenever the mood hits you. It’s the perfect home base for daytrips to Boston, Newport, Cape Cod; Providence is a stone’s throw away. As true locals, Bill and El will share with you the “hidden gems” for dining, entertainment and activities. We have stayed at B&Bs abroad and in the US and this is one of the best. Don’t hesitate, call Bill and El now and enjoy. Happy travels.
