Description

Circa 1907. This stately inn was built to be the Oklahoma governor's mansion and holds the history of speeches delivered from the front balcony. The elegant home had only a short brush with fame as the owner did not win the election. Nevertheless, guests today can pretend to be important politicians in the Governor's or First Lady's Suites with antique furniture and goose down comforters. Each guest room has a private bathroom with a whirlpool tub for two and lounging robes and slippers. Start the day with eggs, breakfast meat, and fruit with Devonshire cream, then spend the afternoon sunning by the pool. If you are a bride to be, you can invite 150 of your closest friends and family to witness your wedding on the manicured lawn beside the koi pond. The innkeepers are happy to assist in planning your special day. Specials include a romance package and a candlelit five-course dinner.

Outstanding cuisine

There is so much good to say about the comfort and hospitality of the Hayes House, but at the peak of it all is the five-course dinner. The food is phenomenal, served with a style and grace that is encountered only rarely today. From the appetizer, to the salad with a perfect homemade dressing, to the palate cleanser (another chef's creation), and on to an exquisite entrée with spectacular accompaniments, then finally a scrumptious dessert, it is a feast you will long remember. A very comfortable room and tub, a delightful pool and the warmth of your hosts make this one of the finest B&Bs in our experience.

Amazingly Romantic!

This is by far the absolute BEST experience we've had with a B&B so far! The house and grounds are beautiful, the host is kind and gracious, and the food is to die for! The suite was clean, comfortable, and romantic. The optional 5 course dinner was spectacular and breakfast the next morning was equally amazing. You cannot go wrong with the Hayes House!
