Hawaii Kauai Bed & Breakfast Inns

Kaua'i is the oldest, northernmost, and fourth largest Hawaiian Island. Be sure to visit all five regions of the "Garden Isle." The East Side region is also called the Coconut Coast because of the coconut palms in the tourist area. Snorkel in safety at the Lydgate Beach Park where the lava rock enclosed pools let fish in but keep waves out. Be a park of folklore by trying to spot the Sleeping Giant in the Nounou Mountain range. Witness 1,000 year old Hawaiian aquaculture in the Lihue region by visiting the Alekoko Menehune Fishpond. This man-made pond has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973 and was built as a way to catch fish. Travel to the northernmost tip in Kaua'i in the North Shore region to see the Kilauea Lighthouse. Spectacular views and the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge make this a perfect spot for photos. However, perhaps the most photographed spot on Kaua'i is in the South Shore region. Spouting Horn is a blowhole that shoots water 20 feet into the air. Garden lovers should visit the 259 acres of McBryde Gardens. Lastly, the West Side region houses "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific." The only geological wonder of its kind in Hawai'i, Waimea Canyon is 14 miles long, one mile wide, and 3,600 feet deep.
