Description

Circa 1897. Pink and white paint emphasize the Victorian features of this two-story inn with wraparound porch. Inside, the Victorian decor is enhanced with the innkeepers' paintings and handmade furniture. Soft music and candlelight set the tone for breakfast, which often features the inn's homemade chicken sausage and a baked egg dish along with freshly baked items such as apricot scones. (Saturday evening dinners are available by prior arrangement.) A garden gazebo is an inviting spot with an overhead fan and piped in music. A block away are galleries, antique shops and restaurants. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway begin a few minutes from the inn.

We spent two very nice days and nights at the Herren House. Michelle was great, couldn't have asked for a more attentive host. Accommodations were very nice, and the breakfast each day was great. So close to park your motorcycle or car and just walk into Waynesville's awesome downtown. If you are looking for a place to stay in Western NC, this would be a great choice!

Great time at Herren House

Herren House was a great weekend get away. Wish we could have stayed longer. Michelle is a great cook and hostess. We truly felt like we could make ourselves at home. Loved the claw foot tub and the cozy room. Waynesville is a beauitiful quaint town that I hope to explore more again.

Finally here

What a wonderful experience! We loved staying at this beautiful B&B. Mt daughter lives a block away and for the 5 years she has lived here, I have always wanted to stay at the Herron House. Finally we are here! The room was beautiful, the food divine and getting to know Michelle, Phil and Jack was the icing on the cake! We will never forget this wonderful experience and hope to return in the near future! Thank you very much!!
