Circa 1900. Located in a former Wells Fargo building, the Healdsburg Inn on the Plaza is a renovated brick gingerbread overlooking the plaza in historic downtown Healdsburg, California. Ornate bay windows, embossed wood paneling and broad, paneled stairs present a welcome entrance. Relax by a fireplace and the halls are filled with sunlight from vaulted, glass skylights. A solarium is the setting for breakfast and evening wine and hors d'oeuvres. A large covered balcony extends along the entire rear of the building. Shops on the premises sell gifts, toys, quilts and fabric as well as an antique shop and art gallery to browse through. The surrounding area is full of things to do, including vineyards and wine-tasting rooms.
