By the time we finished Builtmore cottage we 'built more' than we planned. The second floor of the cottage features two guest rooms with king beds, private baths and a shared kitchenette. The first floor is a one-bedroom suite with a fireplace in the living room and a full kitchen. The first floor suite and the second floor guest rooms have an adjoining door that connects it all if your group reserves all three rooms!

Romantic weekend getaway

Guesthouse at Lost River

5 of 5 hearts
Whitney D

We just booked a last minute getaway from Washington DC. It was by far one of the best weekends we have spent. We were great by the smell of a roaring fire and fresh flowers in the entry. The hosts Michael & Gary couldn't have been any nicer and Gary even carried our bags to our room. We were on the upper level of the Guesthouse and this is where the amazing views are as well as the patio outside the game room of the Lodge. I have never seen so many stars! And even though it was cold we sat outside and enjoyed the silence and held hands in the rocking chairs. There are no TV's in the rooms but there is a TV room with big comfy couches where we watched a movie. We also used the hot tub and sauna. We spent a night in the lounge and also had dinner in the restaurant. The lighting and setting throughout was just beautiful. The mushroom ravioli was fantastic as well as the cosmo's from the lounge! We may come back again for Valentine's Day!
