Don't expect compassion if you have to cancel a reservation due to an emergency, such as sudden illness or a dying parent. I had to cancel at the last minute after hearing that my mother was knocking at death's door in a different town, but was charged the full $100 anyway. I left a message explaining, then called to discuss the situation, only to be told by the owner herself that their accountant would have to make the decision on whether to credit my account, at least partially. I never received the call back I was promised either. So, the owners are not only greedy and insensitive but spineless and rude. I do not like to do business with such people and will never make a reservation with them again.
