The inn is run by Pat and Roger Samuel and they make you feel right at home. They will welcome you but also leave you in privacy if you wish. This inn is immaculately clean, welcoming with every ammenity you can think of except TV, so you can really relax. The breakfast is 5 stars and the cider and cookies in the afternoon is really a nice added touch.

Circa 1881. "A retreat from the everyday" is the slogan here, and they mean everyday; unlike other inns in the area they are open year-round. Hospitality is generous at this Victorian inn, originally built for the first rector of St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church. Graycoe is the first Green Certified inn in Bar Harbor. Sitting beside the living room fireplace or on the veranda is a relaxing way to enjoy afternoon refreshments. Find a tray of hot beverages placed near guest bedrooms every morning, before savoring a gourmet breakfast on the enclosed porch. Hammocks beckon nappers, and the lawn is ready for croquet. Free off-street parking makes it easy to explore opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, biking, photography, and other local activities. The innkeepers are happy to make recommendations.
