A Glenlaurel visit is laced with romance. From the moment the Manor House comes into view at the driveway entrance until it fades into the tree line from the rearview mirror at departure...the warm welcome at the front door feels like arriving at the stately home of a distant but approachable relative where the children are all grown or away for the weekend.
I found this inn while surfing the net one afternoon. I could not have been happier if I found $100!! This place is like none other! If you know of another place as great as this...let me know!!!

Glenlaurel was created to be like a Scottish country home. A creek, with a waterfall, meanders through the 140-acre grounds, which are covered with woods. There are four rooms in the main house, one roon and one suite in the nearby carriage house. Guests also can select from 13 different cottages themed after prominent Scottish personalities and crofts tucked on the property. The guest quarters are romantic and elegantly done in a European-country style. Bathrobes, luxurious linens, soft comforters, down-filled pillows, whirlpool tubs and fireplaces are among the possible amenities. The crofts are especially idyllic, each includes a double-sided fireplace that warms both the bedchamber and living room. Each night, Saturdays excepted, a five-course dinner is an option for guests. On Saturday night, a vast seven-course meal is available.
