Description

Circa 1875. Situated just south of the Tallulah Gorge State Park, this renovated hotel listed in the National Register of Historic Places is an outstanding example of early 19th- and 20th-century inns that dotted the state's countryside. Now a premier country inn, relax on a plethora of porches. A great stone fireplace is the focal point of the parlor that is decorated in bright chintzes. Local handcrafted pieces and antiques furnish the guest rooms that feature luxurious private baths. Two suites feature stone fireplaces. Enjoy breakfast and dinner by reservation in the dining room. Bordered by Panther Creek, the grounds include a swimming pool, 17 acres of meadows, flower and herb gardens and original mineral springs.
