It's a shame that the Gingerbread Cottages have now closed. A real shame. However they appear to be yet another victim in this ObamaNation economy.

Little things mean the most!

Me and my toy poodle, Charlie, stayed at this B&B Labor Day weekend 2010. I stayed 5 nights. It was my first B&B experience and my Birthday weekend. I could write a very, very long review about this B&B explaining in detail the lengths Yvonne and Buddy go to in making the cottage cozy but attention to detail explains it best. I felt like I was visiting close friends or family but with room service. They made me and Charlie feel welcome. And the B&B was gated which gave me a greater sense of safety and security. I was very impressed with their knowledge of the area. What restaurants were the best for my taste and would allow Charlie. They had information on events happening in the area, when and where. Written directions on how to get there were available that even a man could follow. Sorry guys couldn’t resist. I would highly recommend this B&B to family and friends and plan on returning myself in the spring. Even Charlie got a breakfast treat. Laura Hoffman

Wonderful place to rest & relax

We had a wonderful time over Labor Day weekend at this excellent B&B. The cottages are charming and just the right size. Very good bed, well equipped kitchen. Very clean and refreshing pool. The service is simply outstanding. The breakfast is one of the best we have experienced at the numerous B&B's we visited the past two years. The location is quiet, quite close to wineries and restaurants. Nice walking/jogging path along the lake is right in front of the B&B.

Pleasant and delightful getaway

We stayed in the 'Frog Studio' and felt so pampered and cared for! We enjoyed eating out on our private deck with views of the lake and delighted in the cottage's frog theme decor. We appreciated the pleasant gardens and the pet-friendly policy and enjoyed walking our dog by the lake. Yvonne made us feel so pampered: we've already praised her to all our friends.

Quiet and Restful

I just spent a long weekend in the cottage called "Frog". I loved it. I needed a get-a-way. It was perfect. The cottage was very clean and decorated nicely with a restful color scheme and of course frogs. The breakfasts were great. It was a great place to rest, read, walk and eat. I will recommend it to others. The hosts, Yvonne and Buddy make you feel so special.

Wonderful Get-a-way

I just returned from my stay at the Gingerbread Cottages and can't say enough about the ambiance, service, friendliness and wonderful breakfasts. It was truly a relaxing and happy time for me. THe cottage was so comfortable and the bed was great. Yvonne and Buddy are terrific hosts and made me feel very "at home". The view from the deck was peaceful and georgeous. Will highly recommend to friends.

Romantic Lily Langtry Cottage

My husband and I just returned from a most magical and romantic stay on Clear Lake. The cottage was perfect in every way. Yvonne and Buddy delivered wine and cheese which we enjoyed on our lovely deck. The breakfasts, which were also delivered, were excellent. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks for a lovely stay.

InnSide Tip - Rodman Slough
Less than 2 miles is the Rodman Slough where there is a guided walking tour on Saturdays. We kayaked there and the water foul is just incredible. It is worth checking out.

Spectacular Lake View

We had a fabulous time while staying at this B & B. The cottages are beautifully decorated and the view is spectacular of the lake and mountains. We recommend visiting the nearby small town of Upper Lake which offers a bit of everything. The breakfast was outstanding and how nice to stay in our robes while it was delivered to us on a breakfast tray! We plan to come back in the early spring and do some more sight seeing. The innkeepers are accomodating and friendly hosts too!
