Description
Circa 1912. The architectural style of a 1912 house is reflected in this comfortable inn. Original works of art, painted by the one of the innkeepers, grace the walls. The second-floor library offers books to savor and finish reading at home. Antique-filled guest bedrooms pamper with fresh flowers, candles, Egyptian cotton or flannel linens, down comforters and fluffy robes. Breakfast is a healthy, low-fat culinary delight, accented with locally made maple syrup. The nearby West Fork River Trail entertains hikers, bicyclists and equestrians.

The Gillum Room with its 4-poster rice bed Queen-size bed with the warm walnut hue of the woodwork of the now decorative fireplace mantle creates an ambiance of romance. The private bath offers an old-fashioned clawfoot tub (big enough for 2), dimmer switch for that light as well as a large shower. The CD player (with a selection of romantic music available) sets the background tone. The mood can be completed with an arrangement for an in-room massage in the afternoon and a candlelight dinner for 2 in the evening - and we know how to make a lady feel SPECIAL with one of our dinner packages. The gentleman can arrange for a host of romantic things to fit his personal budget that can include flowers, locally made (totally divine) hand-dipped chocolates, champagne, in-room massage or manicure and pedicure, candles...... Kathleen arranges everything the guest requests for his lady. Ladies, we are not sexist - we can arrange a romantic getaway for the man in your life also. |

My husband and I loved Kathleen and John's inn. They were so nice and easy to talk to, and the food was delicious!

Wonderful B&B Beautiful Countryside
The Gillum House was very nice. Kathleen and her husband are very gracious. Breakfast was all from scratch, including the breads which tease you the night before with wonderful smells as they bake. We were routed to the winery by way of the Anna Jarvis house and the nature center. Both were very fun and interesting. West Virginia is gorgous and the mountains make even the summary (we were there over July 4th) very tolerable for a full day outside.

What wonderful place!
My husband and I stayed there last month, and had a really wonderful time. I loved the breakfasts that we were served. You have to try Kathleen's muffins, and homemade breads. Kathleen and John are wonderful hosts, and really make sure that their guests have a wonderful time. It's definitely worth the stay! I will gladly go again!
