great sister trip

My sister and I stayed there over Labor Day weekend and had an amazing time at the inn. The breakfast was excelent and so was the company. It is very close to the lake and to all of the covered bridges,I just wish it wasn't so close to town. It was my very first time at a B&B and it was a great experiance.

Great Place To Stay

Very clean, breakfast was excellent. Neighborhood is pretty run down, but felt safe.

First-time B&B guest

My wife and I stayed a night at The Gilded Swan, and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We didn't know what to expect from a B&B, as this was the first time staying at one, but we were impressed with what we found! We stayed in the Vintage Suite, which includes a four-post bed, a whirlpool tub, a kitchen and dining room, and more cute decorations than we could count. It is located in Ashtabula, a 15 minute drive from Geneva on the Lake and its many wineries. Another great thing about this B&B is the breakfast. We dined in a very ornate room and were served a multi-course meal from the mayor of Ashtabula, who is one of the operators of The Gilded Swan. He was very friendly and was quite a talented chef! Overall, my wife and I would highly recommend staying at The Gilded Swan.

a pleasant getaway

My boyfried and I stayed for a couple of nights here, not to long ago, and had an amazing time. The house was beautiful, and the room we stayed in was so comfortable and clean. We had an amazing time, and the breakfasts we recieved were wonderful. Elaine was so thoughtful, and knew so much about the area. We learned so much from her, having never been to the area before. the location was great, just a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go; and we are totally making arragments to vacation there again. I would recommend this B&B to anyone, the stay really was amazing.

Great Host and very relaxing

We drove to Ohio for my brother's wedding and found this B&B online. The host was very accomodating to our schedule. Breakfast was like at a 5 star hotel each morning. Very comfortable bed and loved sitting on the porch. Book early so you can enjoy the victorian house and all it's furnishings. We would drive all across Texas just so we can stay here again. PS don't be on a diet at this B&B or you will be sorry. Did i mention the great rates! Thanks again, we loved your B&B in Ashtabula, Ohio. J. Holland, Arlington, Texas.

Fantastic Getaway!

We bicycled from Bloomfield, Ohio on the Greenway bike path to Astabula. Elaine greeted us with fresh baked cookies, wine, ice water, ice tea and a very inviting smile. We really enjoyed the house and it's history. The rooms were charming and very relaxing after our journey of 33 miles on bicycles. Breakfast was great as well! Fresh berries, a great French toast egg bake with sausage and fruit muffins. This was a very enjoyable stay!

Great B&B Near Lake Erie

My wife and I recently celebrated our one-year anniversary and stayed at the Gilded Swan because we wanted to visit Ohio's wine country. We couldn't have been happier with our pick. Elaine is a terrific hostess, and her B&B is beautifully decorated with antiques. We stayed in the Lake Erie room, which included a whirlpool tub for two. The rate per night was very reasonable - less than most hotels. Every morning there was a delicious breakfast waiting for us (I loved the stuffed French toast and the vanilla sugar Elaine sprinkled on the fresh fruit). Usually, I ate so much that I skipped lunch! If you're looking for a B&B in wine country, you should definitely check out the Gilded Swan. My wife and I would definitely stay there again.
