Amazing

There are no words to properly describe the George Washington Inn. It's an incredible place, with amazing and unforgetable views and peace. Delicious breakfasts are homemade and the service goes above and beyond anything else I have experienced. I am looking forward to going back a 3rd time.

Outstanding

A+ all around. Immaculate. Well appointed and furnished. We stayed in the Presidential, and it was very spacious. Private, yet welcoming flow through the public areas. Unique, and just amazing.

Definitely Romantic

Best starting place to the Olympic National Park we could have chosen. Elegant, quiet, relaxing, with stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and the backyard is the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Gorgeous, comfortable accomodations. Helpful, friendly Inn Keepers and lovely breakfast.

Gracious Hosts - Excellent Inn

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in August 2010. The place was amazing, both in the accomodations and Dan & Janet. The couple sought to make the stay pleasant and went above our expectations. Location was great for exploring the area and we rested better here than most anywhere we have stayed. Breakfast was prepared with care and we enjoyed every bite. We recommend this Inn with out any reservation and hope to be bacl again.

Serene Beauty

The off the beaten path location with a spectacular view of the mountains and the water could not have been more perfect. My only regret was that we had so much planned to do and see on the Olympic Peninsula that we needed more time to just sit and enjoy the view, or walk around the property. It was hard to leave. Dan and Janet are super Innkeepers. We will return!

Amazing place!

We had the most restful night of our entire vacation at the George Washington Inn. Spacious rooms, luxurious beds, meticulously clean, great location with amazing views of the mountains out one side and the water out the other. The hosts were very friendly and the food was delicious. We will go back next time we're in the area.

Romantic Get Away

Dear Travelers . . . My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed two glorious days in the northwest early August, after baking in Phoenix all summer. The trip was a delightful surprise from my husband for our 30th anniversary . . . we hiked in and around Olympic National Park for 4 days and explored the beauty of this part of the country. The George Washington Inn was an extra special treat as we stayed 2 nights in the Presidential Suite. Dan and Janet, our hosts, were extremely gracious and hospitable during our short stay. Morning breakfasts were delicious, overlooking the Juan de Fuca River amidst the vast green grass property with only deer wandering around. It was breathtaking. Our room was particularly special in every way with all the amenities you could ever want. Gorgeous period piece furniture and decorated in Mt. Vernon style, interesting books and plaques about our first president, comfy furniture, large bathroom, robes, kitchen/dining area, gorgeous views of snowcapped mountains . . . made us feel right at home. Sunsets were incredible! Loved the long porch on the second floor and everything was very spacious and yet had a nice, warm feeling to it. We loved our romantic "honeymoon" vacation at the George Washington Inn and will definitely return and tell others about our fabulous holiday experience. P.S. Loved learning more about our first president at the Inn as well as everything you could want to know about lavender - where Dan and Janet grow and sell it on the property themselves. Loved the soaps, lotion and fragrances to remind me of this trip. Thank you for such a great time, your hospitality, your home and the history of Mt. Vernon. You've created an historical retreat of which we look forward to returning again. Judy and Kevin

Wonderful!

My husband and I went to this Inn for our anniversary. We had a fantastic time. The rooms are luxurious, clean, and have every amenity you could possibly need. The food is delicious and Janet is a gracious host. Their homemade lavender products are a great, unexpected bonus. I have been using their shower gel and mist and I love it!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Inn. The Innkeepers are so kind and helpful and the Inn is immaculately maintained. Our room was gorgeous and the views were unbelievable. Breakfast was very good both mornings. We will definitely go back for another special weekend and give our highest recommendation!

This is the Place!

My wife and I spent 4 glorious nights here at the Washington Inn and enjoyed every minute. The Inn is located half way between Port Angeles and Port Townsend which is ideal for touring the area. The scenry is spectacular with beautiful mountain and ocean views. Janet is very competent Inn keeper and the breakfasts will carry you through the day to dinner. Look no more, this is the place.

Great place to spend a weekend!

I had to attend a work event in Sequim on my birthday so I wanted to find a great place to stay to make the time more relaxing and special. I could not have asked for a better place! The fireplace and spa tub in the room, the beautiful view we had enjoying our breakfast and the rich history provided made it a perfect two days! We were raving about the place upon our return and hope to visit again!

Great Inn, Great Innkeepers

We spent four nights in the presidential suite at the George Washington Inn. The room was comfortable and luxuriously furnished. The king size four post bed provided comfort superior to what we've experienced in other inns and hotels. Soaking in the spa tub was a great bonus feature. The breakfast is excellent. I was particularly fond of the baked oatmeal and the hot apple soup. Try the lavender - rhubarb preserves. Finally, the innkeepers are just really good people. We would stay here again and would recommend the George Washington Inn to others.

Relaxing Get-Away

What a wonderful place for complete relaxation. It was so peaceful to sit outside our room and look out over the Strait. The Inn is beautiful, the room luxurious with great amenities. Breakfast was delicious. We felt pampered by the innkeeper ... all the little things she did helped to make our experience special....just the right balance of attention and privacy. the location is great. Not too far to drive. What a hidden gem on the Olympic Peninsula. We will definitely go back. Our new favorite get-away!!

George Washington Inn

We have just returned from staying at the George Washington Inn in Port Angeles, WA. The B&B was beautiful and very clean. The B&B has beautiful Lavendar fileds on the property and is surrounded by beautiful views of the Olympic Mountain chains and the Straight of Juan de Fuca. It is very calm and peaceful here. The B&B home is modeled after George Washington's Mt Vernon. The B&B is only a few years old, so everything is brand new and is extremely clean. The rooms were very spacious and had great ammenities. The cost was very reasonable for what you were getting and staying in. The owners Dan and Janet were very sociable, friendly, and very helpful with directions and places to go. The service was excellent, and Janet's breakfasts were very good. I strongly recommend this B&B to anyone that does not have children under 16 traveling with them and just wanting to have a vey pieaceful and relaxing time. The house has beatiful grounds to walk on, with great views anywhere that you want to sit and relax. There is satelite TV, DVD player, stone fireplace with a heater, and free WiiFi in all rooms. There are really nice spa tubs in the bathrooms as well. If you are planning to be in the area I would recommend this as a place to stay. - W & D

Felt like home/Heimatgefühl

We had a wonderful stay with our two kids at the George Washington Inn. Everything, the house, the furniture, the view, the breakfast were gorgeous and particulary the owners, they were very endearing. Also our childrens felt very well at this special place. If we come back to the Northwest of the USA, we will stay again at this "paradise of the peninsula". A Very Romantic Getaway

We stayed at the George Washington Inn Bed and Breakfast for our honeymoon. The entire stay was wonderful and we plan to return for our first anniversary and beyond. The room we stayed in, the General's Suite, was beautifully decorated (as was the rest of the inn) and the huge four poster bed was comfortable. We had a gas fireplace for mood setting and the air jet bathtub was perfect for too (and fun with bubbles!). The inn overlooks an ocean cliff that was perfect for watching sunsets and the lavendar adds a restful ambiance to the entire location. We highly, highly recommend this bed and breakfast for a relaxing and romantic getaway.

Sightseeing in the Sequim area

We were in the Sequim area the week of June 14-21-13 celebrating our 44th anniversary and on one of our outings we came across the signs to Washington Lavender Farm. Driving down the entry road lined with lavenders and seeing the Inn at the end of the road was overwhelming. We met Dan Abbott at the Carriage House and being curious as we are he shared the creation of the Inn. Dan and Janet should be commended on the lovely Inn and all the hard work they have done for others to enjoy. We are in hopes of going back one day and stay as it is a romantic sight and would be breathtaking to spend time at the Inn and enjoy the surroundings. Kris & Rex, Salem, Oregon
