Circa 1845. Located across from the main campus of Kenyon College in Knox County, this 1845 Victorian clapboard has been fully restored as a welcome retreat in Gambier, Ohio. Gambier House offers several areas to gather in from the formal fireside parlor to the family room with games to play and movies to watch. Sit in a front porch rocker or in the peaceful weeping cherry courtyard. Guests of this B&B enjoy access to Kenyon Athletic Center. The kitchen features complimentary soda, tea, coffee, snacks and fruit. Three of the inviting guest bedrooms boast fireplaces and the two-story Carriage House Suite includes a small kitchen. The dining room provides an elegant setting for a gourmet breakfast made with local organic produce. Ask about celebratory packages available.

Cancellation

There will be a charge for the full cost of any room canceled within seven days of reservation date. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit included in the room rate. Three or more rooms for one or more nights subject to a 60-day cancellation policy.

Historic Interest

Built circa 1845 by an immigrant stonemason, The Gambier House was one of the earliest residences in Gambier. Its owner was one of the laborers who built Kenyon College; it was held in the family for over 100 years.
