Captain Jedediah Post. Captain Jedediah Post, Captain Stannard’s grandfather, born 1771, was a man of “great force and energy of character” who held many important positions, including justice, in his native town of Saybrook, parent town of Westbrook Parish. This quietly elegant room features a mahogany four-post queen-size bed, bedecked in cabernet and cream, trimmed with Cabinet Makers blue.
