“A REAL GEM !”

We stayed at this B&B for 4 nights and it was wonderful. The property itself is filled with fine antiques. The rooms are decorated beautifully. The hosts are very hospitable and care about the guests. Breakfast is really something beyond the ordinary. A full sit down breakfast with wonderful home-cooked meals. Ideal location and just across the street you can take the city bus and go anywhere in town. Downtown on the bus is about 10 minutes away. We will certainly stay there again next time we visit Philadelphia.

We have had the pleasure of staying at the Gables, frequently, over the past 4 years while our daughter attended U Penn. Our experiences have been nothing but delightful at all levels. Don & Warren are gracious hosts and not only provide a comfortable and beautiful stay but are very helpful with making suggestions to have a wonderful visit while in Philadelphia. “Beautiful and Romantic”

We spent an unexpected 3 days in Philadelphia and had an amazing stay at The Gables. What a beautiful house with wonderful hosts. Each bedroom has its own amazing theme – we actually stayed in 2 of them – and we couldn’t fault them. They were spacious with comfortable bed(s) and immaculate bed linen. One of our rooms had an en-suite, which had everything in it that one required – even down to a spare toothbrush and shower cap! The breakfasts were scrumptious, with everything home-cooked – even the muffins. And it’s only a 10 minute trolley-bus ride to the centre of town. If we ever find ourselves in Philadelphia again (and I’ll make sure we do), then we will certainly stay at The Gables. And their four-legged friend Oscar makes our return even more sure!
