Romantic Interest
The inn boasts a sweeping 180-degree ocean view of the "Lynn-Fjord," and a 9-acre parade field where eagles can be seen soaring above at almost any moment. All the major cruiseship lines and ferry boats can be seen passing by throughout the day and night.
Historic Interest
The house was originally built as the home of the post commander (Col. Thomas C. Woodbury) of Fort Williams H. Seward, the first U.S. Army post built in Alaska, circa 1902
