Forest Manor
Aside from the wineries, shops, restaurants and scenic beauty of Napa Valley, Forest Manor offers yet another reason to visit this land of vineyards. The English Tudor home is situated on a wooded 20-acre estate about a half-hour drive from Napa. The interior is decorated with a mix of traditional furnishings and pieces collected from around the world. Beds are topped with down comforters, and rooms include amenities such as refrigerators, coffeemakers, hot drinks, fruit baskets and fluffy robes. Some have a Jacuzzi tub, and three include a fireplace. Guests can take their full breakfasts either in the privacy of their quarters, on the veranda or in the dining room. In the afternoons, freshly baked cookies and tea are served. Aside from the hundreds of wineries in the area, guests can take a hot air balloon ride or glider flight, shop for antiques, visit a candle factory, fish, play golf and more.
