Located in Pinal County in the state of Arizona, Florence is one of the oldest towns in this region and has more than 25 structures in the National Register of Historic Places. Florence is regarded as a National Historic District. Aside form its historic heritage, there are many other attractions here in Florence the first of which is the Pinal County Historical Society Museum which exhibits the many artifacts showcasing the history of Florence and the nearby towns. Another Florence attraction is the McFarland State Historic Park which was originally a county courthouse, and then later it was transformed into a sheriff's office, and then a hospital, and afterwards a museum, and now a state park.
