The only complaint is that we had to leave the mansion. The mansion is decorated beautifully, the breakfast was delicious the rooms were amazing but most of all Jan and Dave the owners made us feel so at home. They were so much fun but respected your privacy as well.

Jan and Dave, When we stayed at your beautiful B&B the night of December 2nd and morning of the 3rd, we were so engrossed in our amazing experience there, we regrettably never had the chance to post a comment in your guest book. I don't want to let too much time pass before I tell you both what a fantastic event this was for both Donna and me. The ambience of your exquisite home, as well as the meals you served us were matched only by your warm hospitality and great personalities! Thank you so much for making my 60th birthday a memory I will never forget. It was, without a doubt, the best birthday I have ever had, thanks to my family and to both of you. Please extend our sincere thanks to Vicky, who was so gracious and who did everything right in terms of making us feel welcome and at home at The Fleur-De-Lys. She is a sweetheart! It was kind of you to send us copies of the pages we had requested from your hospitality booklet. I would also enjoy having, if it's not too much trouble, and your willing to divulge, is the recipe for your delicious Stuffed French Toast. 1. What brand of mattress and bed sheets do you use at the Fleur-De-Lys Mansion? We remembered that the sheets are 600 thread count. Both the bed and the sheets were very comfortable! 2. What kind of fabric softener do you use on your bathroom towels to get them so soft? I could go on about the many things at The Fleur-De-Lys we thoroughly enjoyed, but I want to state one more time how wonderful you and Dave are as hosts and as just good-hearted people. We felt very much at home with you, and enjoyed your company and our conversations with you so very much. You make a great couple, and it's obvious that you enjoy what you do. We, your guests, really appreciate that! May our good Lord continue to bless and keep you close to His loving heart, and may His angels surround you this Christmas with all the love and goodness you've shown your guests and more. If you're ever in the Labadie area, please stop by. You're always welcome in our home too. P.S. The carriage ride through Tower Grove Park was a perfect ending to our stay at your mansion. LOVED it!!

Perfect Romantic Trip

Fleur-de-Lys Mansion

My wife and I were looking for a romantic relaxing one day getaway here in St. Louis when we came across the Fleur De Lys Mansion. We were impressed by what we saw and set up a reservation hoping the mansion would be as good as we saw online. Before we even set foot in the mansion we were impressed by Jan and Dave's willingness to help us make our romantic getaway something special. Despite the carriage office being closed, Jan still managed to somehow get us reservations for our carriage ride through Tower Grove Park. Dave set up last minute "anniversary" reservations at Charlie Gitto's on the Hill, a tough task in itself on the weekends here in St. Louis. When we arrived we were welcomed and given a tour of the grounds and the mansion. The mansion is so much more beautiful in real life then in the pictures. And the pictures are amazing so you can only imagine how nice it is in real life! It's a historic beauty with all the woodwork and details from the early 1900's. Our room, the Forest Park room, was warm, comfortable and original. It was much more memorable then the typical hotel. Shortly after arriving we were off to Tower Grove Park for a carriage ride. Jan and Dave gave us typed directions that made navigating simple and the carriage ride was marvelous. After the carriage ride we headed off to Charlie Gitto's for some delicious Italian dining. We had a wonderful time and the food and atmosphere was very romantic. We retreated to the mansion for the rest of the night. But that didn't mean we stayed in our one room. No we enjoyed playing the piano in the parlor and after that read a little in the library while enjoying some homemade cookies and a complimentary drink or two. After that it was a quick change to swim suits and we relaxed in the hot tub and were able to see the stars while spending some quality time together. The bedroom itself was a very nice change from the norm. Our room had a mural painted of the lake and Art museum at Forest Park as well as a Jacuzzi tub. The bed itself was very, I repeat very surprising. They are the most comfortable beds you could ever experience. The sheets are incredibly soft (they were so amazing that we asked Jan where we could buy them) and they make your nights sleep extremely relaxing. The breakfasts are amazing. You really couldn't ask for a nicer bed and breakfast to stay at. The mansion is close to most of the famous Saint Louis attractions. We highly encourage visitors to the area to stay here.

We literally couldn't have started out our honeymoon any better. Dave and Jan were so amazing and made our experience at Fleur-de-Lys everything we had hoped for for our first days as husband and wife. Breakfast was particularly amazing and both Forrest Park and Tower Grove were gorgeous rooms. From the towel warmers, to the bathrobes, to the decor, to the bedsheets, everything was absolutely wonderful. WE WILL BE BACK!

My husband and I spent our first night of marriage together at the Fleur de Leis Mansion! We fell in love with the house and owners. We only live about a mile from the inn, but wanted something special for our wedding night, and the mansion was all that and more. The bed itself was by far the most comfortable we have experienced. We always enjoy spending short get-a-aways at bed and breakfasts and we have never had a bad experience, but this one was by far the best one we have been to. P.S. L'Occitane soaps and lotions are a phenomenal finishing touch!

Our stay at The Fleur-de-lys Mansion was sooooo AWESOME!! Jan and Dave Seifert were the most humble and welcoming hosts you would ever want to meet. They made you feel at home, away from your home, but with extreme professionalism and hospitality. As host, you didn't have to want for anything, but you didn't feel like they were smothering you, either!! The breakfast was just "to die for". The mansion was very ornate, exquisite and really clean, just like the photos presented on the website. In our room, The Tower Grove Park, the 2 person Jacuzzi, flat screen TV/DVD/Cable, and the remarkable bed made thing so relaxing for a romantic occasion. Oh yeah...we luved the "hot tub"!! We had a great time celebrating our 12th year wedding anniversary and would highly recommend The Fleur-de-Lys Mansion to everyone. This has got to be the best Bed & Breakfast in the Midwest!!! Thanks for the service Dave and Jan!!

My wife and I had anniversary plans that were canceled at the last minute due to her job. Wow! The place is beautiful, the hosts are gracious, and with all the included goodies (like warm cookies, wi-fi, drinks, etc.) we felt like we were at some sort of resort. The hot tub is on the second floor in the solarium and both it and the attached balcony are private and inviting. In fact, the first and second guest floors are permanently devoted to the guests. The rooms/beds/bathrooms are all top notch 4-star hotel quality. We had one of the smaller rooms and it was huge with beautiful windows. Breakfast was a savory, gourmet treat with generous portions. We are going back next time we just need to get away. Thanks!!

St. Louis holds romantic memories for us but none to match our romantic get-a-way at the Fleur-de-Lys Mansion. Hospitality abounds and the ambience exudes old world charm. Our room was elegant, warm and comfortable. Cocktails by the living room fire place add to our treasure of intimate memories. Everything about our stay was picture perfect. My husband and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at Fleur-de-Lys Mansion and everything was wonderful, from the fire in the fireplace, the secluded hot-tub on the cold porch with the moon shinning through the glass, to the complimentary cozy robes. We sunk into the luxurious bed and slept like a couple of happy, contented, babies and lingered over a scrumptious breakfast the next morning. We will definitely return and plan on giving a gift of a stay at the Fluer-de-Lys Mansion to our son and daughter-in-law for their anniversary.

I found the inn on the web and called the owner. She was friendly and helpful on the phone and although I arrived late, she made every effort to make sure I was very comfortable. The Fleur-de-Lys is a gorgeous home and the rooms are impeccable. The hosts are truly wonderful and their hospitality priceless. I visited St Louis for a business conference and had the most wonderful time at the mansion. The breakfasts are to die for truly "delicioso". My classmates were jealous I had a sunken tub, a warm robe, and a hot tub to study for my exams. I plan on visiting with my husband in the near future because the inn is very romantic. It's close to everything and yet set off on a quiet street. Truly Wonderful! Thanks again for sharing your home, your food and your knowledge of St. Louis.

The Fleur-de-Lys Mansion was the perfect destination for us for our 10th anniversary. With 3 preschoolers at home, going away seems daunting. Living locally, we could get away for a night for a romantic getaway. Jan and Dave did not disappoint. Everything was planned so well and we felt like a king and queen with the wonderful carriage ride around the park, the amazing dinner and the AMAZING bedding and a great breakfast. We can hardly wait to return...and stay longer! We recommend the FDL mansion to everyone if they are looking for a quick getaway, or a place to stay when just visiting our lovely St. Louis. My husband, Dennis and I spent our first Anniversary at the Fleur-de-Lys Mansion and it was beyond Perfect. The owners, Jan and Dave treated us just like family and pampered us to the max. We have been recommending the Fleur-de-Lys Mansion to everyone and have already made our reservation for our 2nd anniversary. Carroll & Dennis Martin P.S. The Breakfast and gourmet dinner(if requested) are to die for.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Fleur-de-Lys Mansion. It was incredible. We've stayed at other bed & breakfasts since then and nothing compares. Jan and Dave were so welcoming and hospitable. Everything you could want seemed to be only an arm-length away. It was perfectly romantic.

Unbelievable experience! What a welcoming and comfortable place. Jan & Dave will make you feel like one of their own family members. You are greeted at the door like you've come home from an extended leave. The rooms are so comfortable that you may cancel your plans of sightseeing just to relax on their overstuffed beds, hang out reading a book in their outdoor water garden or maybe an after dark dip in the private jacuzzi and balcony. Beautiful turn of the century home has been painstakingly restored. And words cannot describe the delicious breakfast you will be served each morning. We have stayed in this house twice and cannot wait to get back.

The Fleur-de-Lys Mansion is a St. Louis treasure. It has been a favorite of ours for several years. Jan and Dave are the most welcoming hosts and the home is just exquisite. There is a sense of peace that comes over you the minute you walk in the door. Rooms at the mansion are beautiful and breakfast is always wonderful. I would choose the Fleur-de-Lys over ANY other hotel or inn in St. Louis. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway.

Romantic Wedding Night

We rented the honeymoon suite for our first night together because it was very close to Tower Grove Park where we got married. I also got ready in the room before hand and took pictures in the cute backyard and on the staircase. The couple running the place were so nice and accommodating. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed the hot tub on the back porch. The only thing we wished for was a more substantial breakfast, as we had not gotten much dinner the night of the wedding. Overall, a beautiful property.

This is truly the secret of St.Louis. We were pleasantly surprised to find this inn tucked in this historic city neighborhood. We will never forget the marshmallow pillows and bedding - oh what comfort! The innkeepers, Jan & Dave, will pamper you throughout your stay.

This was one of the most relaxing and romantic stays my wife and I have had in our 21 years together. Everything was simply fabulous. Some may not like the location however I thought it was great, it provided us quick access to the highway and everything we wanted to see in St. Louis was only minutes away. The staff arranged all of the activities I requested and provided the real feel of being at home.
