I was traveling in Florida on a whirlwind, errand running weekend with my boyfriend. In an attempt to make things easier, I looked up area hotels to make reservations for Saturday night, and happened to come across Fig Tree Inn. They had a vacancy and the price was right. Little did I know would their quiet, homey atmosphere would make for a night to remember. Not only were the figs in season and ripe on the tree but the homemade fig scones and coffee were outstanding. The room was clean and many attentions to detail were not overlooked. We had privacy and comfort and were in desperate need of this after our long, hot drive.
