         <title>Shaw House B&amp;B Inn</title>
         <link>http://www.iloveinns.com/bed_and_breakfasts/california/shawhouse-of-ferndale.htm</link>
<description>The owners of Ferndale's most historic structure note that the Shaw House was opened to the public in 1860 (six years after its construction) &quot;to serve man and beast&quot;. A carpenter Gothic house with gables, bays and balconies it is set back on an acre of garden. An old buckeye tree frames the front gate, and in the back, a secluded deck overlooks a creek. Nestled under the wallpapered gables are several guest rooms filled with antiques and fresh flowers.</description>
