Description

Circa 1890. The innkeepers bill this unique inn as a "Victorian fantasy for the romantic at heart." Each of the guest rooms is unique, from the spacious rooms with double whirlpool tubs and fireplaces to the cozy turret room. A whimsical combination of country French and Victorian decor permeates the interior. Wrought-iron beds and hand-painted furnishings add to the ambiance. Breakfasts, often with a vegetarian theme, are served with gourmet coffee in the morning room on antique floral china.

LEFT A NIGHT EARLY & NOT PET FRIENDLY.

I booked this room even though many reviews gave them a 1 star rating on other web site. Well I'm sorry I did. The owners were very rude to my husband and I treated us like 16 yr olds. They basically pet shammed us because we put our dog in a cage. I received a phone call from the owner when I was out to lunch with my husband and parents. The owner stated that they don't allow people to leave there dogs in cages. When I explained to Nancy that our dog loves his cage and that he thinks of the cage as a safe space she didn't want to hear it. So she let our dog out of the cage. The thing that bothered me more was the fact that they just went into our room when we weren't there. I asked why they had gone in the room and was not given an answer. The owners do not make the bed or bring fresh towels, so in my opinion they really had no business going in the room. On Sunday it was more of the same. We had exercised our dog, but were made to feel like it was not good enough. We left the B&B for 4 hrs and got a call for the owners saying that our dog had barked a few times and that we needed to come back, which we did for good. We packed our stuff and left a day early. The B&B is in desperate need of TLC. The grass is over grown everywhere. The space and rooms themselves are so overcrowded that you cant move. They don't have AC, so we left our fan on during the day to keep the air moving, but they went into the room and turned it off on us. No curtains on the windows only sheers which do nothing and by 6 am the room is bright as can be. The beds are rock hard and gave us both back aces. I could go on, by why.

back in time

The atmosphere was great. Your breakfast was elegant. The breakfast room made us feel we had gone back in time. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

Warm, Inviting 1890"s Flair xoxo

This Town of Kittery, Maine is graced with the History of America. This beautifully restored home is graced with Maines heritage from the time you walk through the beautiful tree lined street to the front porch, through it's doors, into the parlor you are greeted with warm smiles. The Inn Keepers are of charm, the sparkle in there eyes is of a era usually seen from days gone by. So proud.... We where given a tour of a home from the days of a era that was of the 1890's hertigage. We envisioned the laughter this home has been, and still is present for over 100 years. From the inviting fireplace so quietly inviting there was Love in the air as soon as we entered to this home. The antiques and the collectibles where aquired by the Inn Keepers from the local Shops that are so tucked away in this beautiful historic Town. The rooms where graced with Armoires, and with a beautiful warm inviting historic claw bath tube that brought the bubbles flowing, for a inviting night that we will never forget. Thank you for Kittery, Maine. Thank you Peter Lamandia & his loving Wife for your hot apple cobbler and the memories your Inn has to offer. Sincerly, Joseph Petricca
