Our 1st B&B experience & 19th anniversary & 1st time leaving kids alone was memorable! 5 star International Chef Enrique (Peruvian) made us a romantic private candlelight dinner (for extra charge). (I'm not a big meat eater & it was too fancy for me but my hudband loved it!) Breakfast was PHENOMENAL! The other B&B the next night & their bkfast couldn't touch Enriques! Enrique was friendly & interesting. The rooms were clean & nice & my husband slept like a log! Though it wasn't filled with breakable antiques, my husband thought it was too "old" for his tastes but I loved it. We aren't very outdoorsy but we walked miles around the Victorian village. We were fascinated to read in the local paper abt their occasional (Sunday night) "Iron Chef" style competitions of which Enrique had recently won. Bring your tennis rackets & if you love Victorians, your good tennis shoes & lots of film or large memory card. We want to come back at Christmas with the kids!! I bet it's beautiful! Wish there had been complimentary soft drinks & snacks or mini fridge in the rooms. We went out abt 9pm to get drinks & main gate locked except smaller side gate (for cars) & when we got back, she was closing up, so check on her leaving & locking up policy if you might go out late. I was also worried about no way to lock our room while we were out but there are inside locks. Overall a great experience (with a few minor suggestions)!
