Circa 1879. Meticulously restored, this historically significant Italianate mansion features original, ornate marble fireplaces, inlaid flooring, 15-foot ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The grand Victorian decor is accented by period antique furnishings. Spacious common areas and a courtesy kitchen offer added comfort and convenience. Each of the romantic guest bedrooms and suite boast a whirlpool tub, and most include fireplaces. Linger over breakfast in the banquet-style dining room with a typical feast of fruit, broccoli-cheese quiche, bacon, cranberry-orange scones, orange juice and gourmet coffee. Popular local sites like Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby, Louisville Slugger Museum and many others are all within a 10-minute range.
