We don't have one, but my wife loves beagles. That wasn't the only motivation we had for my booking a night at the Dog Bark Park Inn though. I'd read about the place a year in advance, but I kept it a secret from her. We had an absolutely magnificent time at this preciously romantic place. The whole facility is stellar-->the room truly wonderful, the food varied and delicious, the setting was stunning, and, oh yes, the hosts Dennis & Francis are so kind, thoughtful, and charming! Sincerely one of the very, very nicest places we've ever had the benefit of staying in. The Inn is NOT to be missed. A month after our stay there and we can't stop talking about the glorious time we had. This surprise sure paid off!

Darin BlanchardWe stayed at Dog Bark Park with our two kids (11 and 10) and they had a wonderful time inside Sweet Willy. The dog is fully equipped and there was plenty of good food available. The grounds have all kinds of wonderful, whimsical sculptures that we all loved. But perhaps the best part of the experience, from an adult point of view, is that Dennis and Frances are so wonderfully welcoming. We instantly felt comfortable and the whole stay flet as if we were staying with family, albeit in a large beagle!

Rachael LThe Dog Bark Inn was without a doubt the most unusual and fun place we have ever spent the night. Where else can you climb inside a large dog? My kids (age 6 and 4), thought it was the highlight of our road trip. (This was picked over Kalahari Waterpark in Sandusky by two kids who love swimming and going down slides, so that tells you something). The home cooked muffins, granola, all the food was just amazing, and enough to feed a family of four for both dinner and breakfast! We are already planning a trip back to Cottonwood (from California) for just one reason…to stay another night in Sweet Willy the beagle!

Kay StaegerI have been to stay in Sweet Willy (the giant Beagle)twice and I absolutely love it there. I feel like I have known Dennis and Frances (the owners)forever. The special touches everywhere in the "dog house" are amazing. Perfect for both families or singles seeking peace and quiet in a roomy comfortable place. Lots of books, games; a small well stocked kitchen; short walk to delightful restaurant if you want to eat out; no tv, no radio - yay!!

Dale SHaving an urge to explore parts of Idaho from western Washington, we headed out for a weekend, specifically to stay at Dog Bark Park. A friend had sent a picture of the giant beagles several years prior, and we always wanted to check it out. It SO exceeded any expectations! Not only is it completely unique in style, it is also on the beautiful Camas Prairie. From the deck of Sweet Willy you can see maybe 200 miles West into Oregon and East to Montana, or so it seemed. The immediate prairie was full of red-winged blackbirds, meadowlarks, red-tail hawks, and occasional heron passing by. Small wildflowers, ponderosa pines. It is beautiful. Close to the highway, but it's quite peaceful in the evening and early mornings. And fun the reat of the day as you watch peoples reactions as they come in view of the giant beagles. Dog Bark Park is quite close to exploring the Idaho landscapes-lots of nice little towns and settlements nearby to explore, as well as much of the Nes Perce and early settlers history. The local people are very friendly and eager to chat. Fitting right in here are the hosts, Frances and Dennis, two of the most personable and fun folks that obviously enjoy life. The art in their adjacent studio is beautiful, particularly if you are a dog person! And the home-made goodies that are always there to surprise you when you least expect it are delectable-everything from applesauce made from hand picked apples and sweet breads from local huckleberrys and little dog cookies. It was scrumptous. Being dog people, we were able to travel with our coonhound and he was quite welcome. Sweet Willy is stocked with a myriad of literature, games, knick-knacks all in the dog pesuasion, so there is plenty to occupy a visitor whether you want to cruise around and explore or just hang out in the beagle. All in all, we had a fabulous time at Dog Bark Park, are still smiling from the weekend and hope to return one day. What fun!!

Dennis PowersHad a Great time. Willey was very clean and food was fantastic. Great stop for grandparents RVing with a couple of grandchildren, or small family. This is a place you can really make a memory that will last forever in your child. This trip was worth making from St. Louis, but 3 nights was not enough time to really see all the things we wanted to see and do. Its more like staying in a very nice cabin than a B&B.

Marilyn HannaAlthough this B&B was a bit out of the way for us, we made a special trip to Cottonwood to enjoy this great example of American folk art and imagination.

G LMy girlfriend and I made the trip from Missoula, MT to stay in Sweet Willy. Loved every minute. Frances and Dennis are two of the warmest people you are ever likely to meet. The south-facing deck is a perfect vantage point for viewing the spectacular Idaho sunset. The food provided was great, the homemade granola and white peaches were delicious. The only flaw in the experience was the length. I didn't stay long enough. You can rest assured this guest will return to the dog house next year.

DANIEL SULLIVANThis place is fantastic! Dennis & Frances made us feel right at home. We loved chatting with them, playing with their real dog, and eating all the homemade goodies. Can't wait to return!

J WWe stayed there for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The hosts are gracious and left us a wonderful breakfast and some snacks. They had many helpful tips on what to do in the area and where to get a wonderful dinner. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Chris SheppardWe just stayed at the Dog Bark Park Inn B&B in Cottonwood Id for our 15th Anniversary. What a romantic way to spend our special day together in the world's largest beagle. We brought our furry kids with us too -- Ziggy, Angel and Gizmo and they had a blast. The Beagle is very cute and decorated in doggie decor. We did go 14 miles further to Grangeville and went to a real Drive in movie theater called Sunset Auto. The dogs where allowed in too. What memories that brought back to us. I guess it is one of only 6 Drive Ins left in Idaho.

Joseph O'ShaughnessyWonderful visit to the world's biggest beagles. The dog's head is a loft bedroom filled with games, the body is another bedroom and bathroom, and you're the only ones in it! Breakfast on the deck, a walk on your own private groomed trail through pine trees, and fresh, healthy, plentiful food in the fridge. My daughter and I loved it. Great for a couple or a family. We're planning our next trip!
