50th Birthday

What a delight to enter your suite after 3 days of camping and one LONG day of halibut fishing. We loved the free guides hikes you offer - hiking in the Moose Pass with our family was a good work-out, and the second hike on Upper Kenai Lake Trail was spectacular! What a great way to celebrate Gary's 50th birthday! We had such a great time here and hope to be back.

Alaskan B&B Stay Was Amazing

“Our trip has been an adventure of a lifetime. Everything we did was so memorable — the fishing, the clamming, the wonderful eating places, soaking up the history and the story of this part of Alaska. Carrol and JoAnne at the Ranch Bed & Breakfast, we loved your stories about life on the Kenai. Your diverse business—the wild turkeys, the cow milking, llamas and JoAnne’s delicious breakfasts—what a treat it was, and especially to meet your family and those wonderful grandchildren. Your hospitality provided us with an insight into how Alaskans live, work and play. Thank you ever so much.” —

Enjoyable Week Long Stay

To all at the Diamond M Ranch, Thank you so much for a TRULY ENJOYABLE week long stay. We came up to Alaska for our son’s graduation and were lucky to have had the great pleasure of staying at the Diamond M Ranch. The suite we stayed in was so cozy and homey, we truly felt “at home.” You folks were so friendly and the Ranch was perfect. We will surely be back soon! We will be talking about this trip to all our family and friends for a long time. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Alaskan Suite Room!

Jack and I spent New Years Eve at the Diamond M Ranch Resort. The scenery was just beautiful! Imagine watching fireworks bursting over the snow covered Kenai River valley ~ Fantastic! The Green Tree room is like a honeymoon suite with beautiful kitchen area, living room, and jaccuzi. Gorgeous furnishings in each room. This resort is as wonderful in December as it is in June. Happy Trails in 2011

Wow

WOW, what a great place to stay. Best campground we stayed in while in Alaska in 2009. Well kept, clean, helpful staffing, close to great fishing for numerous species. Better than some that were higher priced. They're planning on adding additional sites for 2010 that will be larger sites than you will find anywhere else in the State. We found most campground sites in Alaska to be fairly small compared to many campgrounds in the lower 48.

Memories

To the Martins: From your friends who used to hale from Anchorage. We are now in Colorado and missing everyone there in Alaska. We have been working on our home for the last 2 years and have it habitable again! It was a mess when we arrived back home, but we just thank God that it remained rented while we were in Alaska for the 6 years. We just want to say that our highlights of Alaska were our times at the Diamond M Ranch. It was a peaceful time and the Martins always greeted us like family every time we came. They are wonderful hosts and are always making the Ranch more homelike for their guests. My parents really enjoyed the evening potlucks on the deck and meeting everyone from around the country. Enjoying the evening atmosphere and the next days events with anticipation was always a great part of visiting the Ranch. All of us in particularly, enjoyed our favorite spot across from the pasture where the animals roamed, the horses played (the colts), and the scenery was gorgeous. Unfortunately, my father has passed away, but my mother still has the great memories of the Ranch. I'm sure Dad and Matti have met up again in God's green pastures. We look forward to seeing you again and thank you so much for the wonderful memories. We intend to introduce new friends to the Ranch and hope they enjoy it as much as we have. Always your friends, Bobby, Brenda and Ethel

not worth your money

Facilities were dirty. Some rv spots even had sewage leakage. As far as service.goes, it could not get any worse. The camp manager forces guests to wear paper braclets just so they can take a shower, the band cannot be taken off during your stay or you will be kicked out of he rv park. Save your money not worth a penny.

simbly just bad

I thought it was a joke when they told me they had only three showers...... Well they were.not joking. There were over a hundred rv's and just three.showers. wi fi costs a ridiculusly amount per hour and the service was complete crap..... Do not recommend this site for anyone.

An Alaskan Adventure!

We found ourselves at the Diamond M Ranch during the "fishing frenzy" of dipnetting season. A word to unsuspecting tourists, "If you are not prepared to witness the annual ritual of resident Alaskans descending upon the Kenai Peninsula to dipnet hundreds and hundreds of salmon, avoid Kenai and Soldotna during the middle of July." The entire area gets crazy! Dipnetting notwithstanding, the Diamond M Ranch is a clean, quiet Alaskan experiece. We participated in a day of clamming, a hike to the Russian River Falls and the delicious Satuday evening grilled salmon potluck social...while watching caribou from the viewing deck! The sites are FHU, level and a variety of treed and wide open pull-through quads for big rigs. We are glad we were here to experience a dipnet season in Alaska...and we were glad when it was over and everything returned to normal. The staff is friendly and helpful!

Felt very comfortable

We slept late, fished late into the evening and returned home to B&B late at night. Never once did we feel we were bothering Joanne and Carroll upstairs, even when our 8 yr old grandson was all riled up and rough housing. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and homey. Service, Accommodations, Staff!

We stayed at Diamond M in a motorhome. The sites are full hookups with 50 amps - very rare to find in Alaska. Their staff was beyond helpful. They were incredibly flexible with us when our fly out fishing trip was changed and our departure time was impacted. They were very understanding and let us keep the RV until late evening w/o charge. Their bath house facilities were great. We have a nice shower in the RV but chose to use their facilities as each of the three showers is completely private in its own room with toilet, sink, and private door. They have a gorgeous viewing deck off the back of the office for looking for moose and other animals. Their customer service, flexibility, knowledge of the area and willingness to help guests make this a great place to stay. We are changing our reservations to stay with them again when we move back through the area. - The T. McGees

Great Stay!

Rona came out to welcome us in the parking area upon our arrival. Never have experienced that anywhere before! We have loved our stay in this place. Quiet, spacious, and clean, plus opportunities for hikes, s'more campfire. Beautiful place for walking too! We would definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to others.
