Circa 1884. Overlooking the Minnesota River Valley, this stately 1884 home located in the historic district blends Craftsman or Arts and Crafts architecture with a Victorian flair. Common rooms offer a variety of relaxing settings. Play games in the formal dining room, watch the fish in the huge aquarium, sit by the candlelit fireplace in the living room, or play the piano in the Welcome Room. Guest bedrooms exude Old World charm and are furnished with antiques and decorative accents. Breakfast is served on fine crystal and china in the All-Season Sun Porch. Accompanied by the inn's special blend coffee, signature dishes may include homemade granola, German sautéed apples with cinnamon-swirl French toast and Deutsche Strasse Potato Hash.

Natural Granola

A healthy combination of unrefined ingredients that tantalizes the taste buds and gets you off to a good start for the day. The recipe may be varied and for those who prefer a sweeter taste, drizzling honey over the cereal after adding milk is perfect!

New Ulm Bavarian Omelet

A main dish that has been a favorite of our guests. It includes German sausage from our local meat shop, onions and peppers grown locally, and tomatoes grown in our own back yard. On the side, we include a butter croissant made at our local Backerei.

Warm And Spicy Pears

We serve two of the warmed pear halves per person with some of the cooked syrup in stemmed dessert dishes as a fruit starter for our breakfasts during the cold winter months in Minnesota. Add a dollop of whipped cream to the top of each serving

Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes With Orange Syrup

Light, fluffy and moist pancakes with fresh blueberries added during the cooking time. The warm orange syrup compliments the pancakes\' flavor without being overbearing or too sweet.
