The Inn's former carriage house now contains four comfortable rooms which are connected to the main grounds by a picturesque footbridge. Circa 1754. Believed to be the oldest continuously operating inn in the state, the Curtis House began as the Orenaug Inn, run by Anthony Stoddard. In 1900, the roof was raised and a third floor of eight rooms laid out in anticipation of a boom from a scheduled trolley service. All the guest rooms in the main house have canopied beds. Regional Yankee fare such as chowders, bisques and crusted pot pies are served at the inn.
