We started our vacation at Crestmon

My husband and I were going to the finger lakes on Sunday, I looked at the weather forcast and it was going to be a nice day on Saturday, I called and got lucky. We stayed in the Sungglers Cove, it was nice the inn keepers were so friendly, the town, very small and nice. We walked around the lake, it was beautiful, many stars were out that night, great food and nice entertainment.

Pampering and Romantic

We felt welcomed and cared for. The food was amazing- we would drive an hour just to have dinner here! The rooms were lovely and sparkling clean. Coffee, tea, and fresh fruit and home-baked goodies were a nice pampering touch. The staff was accommodating of all our group's needs and requests. Everyone in our group wants to come back.

Surprise getaway

My Wife planned a getaway for my birthday. It couldn't have gone better. The Crestmont staff and people of Eagles Mere were warm and courteous. The Inn itself was clean and inviting with an old world charm. I would gladly recommend the Inn to my friends.

What Happend To Crestmont?

My family has been coming here for years. It used to be such a nice place to stay. The food was decent and it was clean for the most part. Now, the food is disgusting and tastes rotten. On top of that, the rooms are not even close to clean. There is dust and cobwebs everywhere. If you wet a towel and put it on the carpet it is repulsive to see all the dirt come up. Bring your own sheets, towels, pillow cases and food. Also bring comfy shoes because you do not want to go barefoot around here. Eagles Mere in general is a beautiful place, but Crestmont Inn can make it hard to enjoy sometimes. This place used to be the best and now I just can't wait to leave.

Worse room ever!!!!!!!!!

First of all my room looked nothing like it did on the website. When I walked in I couldn't believe how small was. There was not room to walk. I was not impressed with the shower. I was not able to sleep because I felt like I was sleeping on a box spring. It was the worst room I have ever been in. For what I paid for this room it was a major disappointment. I would never return even if the room was free. I feel it was false advertisement.

Wonderful trip for the whole family

Tony and his staff were wonderfully accommodating for our whole group. We hosted a family gathering with 22 people and 3 dogs the weekend before Thanksgiving. From the rooms to the food to the atmosphere, the location was perfect for our meeting. Tony and his staff went above and beyond making sure we were well taken care of, including keeping up with our ever-changing requests and timeline. Family members have already mentioned they would like to return to the Crestmont Inn and Eagles Mere in warmer weather to experience the seasons there. Thank you, Tony and staff for a wonderful stay! - Sarah Thomas and the Brooks Family

No hot water! Terrible experience!

I purchased a Crestmont Inn Groupon as a birthday present for my boyfriend. We redeemed this Groupon at the Crestmont Inn for a one night stay from March 28-29. We stayed in the Oliver Garden Room. While we had a nice dinner at the Inn, overall, our experience was terrible: --For the entirety of our stay, the Inn had no hot water, which meant that we could not shower unless we were willing to stand the ice-cold water. We were told that the gas company was coming to fix this problem, but it was never fixed. We were not given a refund despite this. --The room was absolutely not as pictured on the website. The photo of the room on the website shows a beautiful garden-themed room with yellow walls and floral stenciling, with a beautiful four-post bed. Our room was completely different -- very little decor, a very plain and uncomfortable bed, very thin walls, and stained bath towels. In this day and age where every bed and breakfast has a website that shows their rooms, this is akin to false advertising. --Service at breakfast was horrible because the Inn only had TWO staff members present. This was due to the fact that the owners were on a month-long vacation. What sense does it make to go on a month-long vacation when you're offering a Groupon? The cook complained loudly about having to rush around to serve us, despite there only being five tables to serve. The other staff person was the housekeeper, who did not know how to wait tables. The cook repeatedly complained that everyone "rushed in" at once, but that's to be expected when you can only get breakfast during a particular 1.5 hour period. For $99 plus the $100 dinner, this was simply unacceptable. I feel that I am entitled to at least a partial refund.

Inviting, but disappointing

Excellent Dining, both breakfast and dinner. The coffee room supplied with water and hot beverages was a nice plus even though it wasn't supplied with water the second day we were there. Our group of 20 was accommodated with price brake rooms that was a nice plus even though there were no prior written or email confirmations sent. Our room was exchanged without prior notice supposedly upgraded, but not comparable in services.... maybe for newly weds but not seniors in their 70's. Crestmont Inn could be made into a top notch establishment with the help of a maintenance man to replace light bulbs and batteries, repair dripping faucets and determine the banging. Obviously, the cleaning was not done prior to our arrival with splattered mirrors and slime appearing in the shower/tub. The gardens could be beautiful, but needed maintenance to remove weeds and keep the ponds flowing properly. Disappointed that in a 2 day stay I never met Tony or Melissa our Innkeepers and a sign was left on the front door with an emergency number that couldn't be read from the outside.

Our Favorite Inn

We stay at the Crestmont Inn several times a year. (This year it will probably be six times.) That, I think, says a lot about the Crestmont and about Eagles Mere in general: a lovely, relaxed setting with spacious rooms, excellent food, nature's beauty, and an abundance of history. Day trips to state parks and other historic parks are easily done. We and our guests have canoed on the lake, and this year we tried swimming, which was pleasant and not nearly as cold as expected. We love going to the Crestmont and hope that you will too. Carl & Cindy
