Historic Interest

Opened in 1925 as a service station and lunch counter serving the mining, logging and tourist industries at Mt. Rainier. Full service restaurant began in 1945 in continuous operation for 67 years. Phil Freeman and Catharine Gallagher became the 2nd family to own Copper Creek Inn when they purchased the inn in 2001. Expanded to resort with the acquisition of the Copper Creek Lodge property in 2002. Copper Creek Resort at Mt. Rainier sleeps 50 people and is now 12 acres divided by the Creek. The restaurant, Inn, Log and Muir Cabins are on the E. side of the Creek. The Lodge, Creekside, Dreamweaver, Art Studio,Forest Retreat, Sky and Snow Cabins are on the West Side of the Creek. Copper Creek resort is two miles from the SW (Paradise) Entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park on Scenic Hwy 706E, 1 1/2 hours from Seatac International Airport, 2 1/2 hours from the Portland International airport.

The 1919 log lodge is an excellent place to gather with a group of friends or family. Private hot tub right on Copper Creek, picnic gazebo, big yard, spacious cabin with stone fireplace! Forest Retreat

Forest RetreatLocated on the same 6.5 acres as Copper Creek Lodge, Forest Retreat is up the hill, overlooking the big open yard and has wonder views of Osborn mountain from the spacious deck and living room. Tall windows frame forest views to the west. Copper Creek is about 100 feet from the cabin. Enjoy a private hot tub right on the back deck, picnic table and BBQ, big yard, spacious open floor plan with gas fireplace and loft bedroom! Sleeps 2 to 6

Cedar SpringsOur only off site cabin is one mile from Copper Creek Inn. A two bedroom cabin, Cedar Springs enjoys plenty of space to roam on the 8 acres. The property is beautiful and includes territorial views, views of Mt. Wow, a small grove of ancient cedars, a historic barn, a spring fed pond, an abundance of wildlife, and a private hot tub. Frenchie's Suite

Frenchie's SuiteOur largest suite ~ comfortable lodging for families or two couples traveling together. Named after Copper Creek Inn's 1950's baker, Hank "Frenchie" Cantry, it has two knotty pine bedrooms with plush queen beds and a living room for games, movies, music and conversation. Private time in our outdoor HOT TUB in private woodland setting.

 

Roselea's Suite

Named for Roselea Triggs, the 1950's owner of Copper Creek Inn, is a one queen bedroom suite. End the day with a soak in the jetted tub in your private bathroom. Private time in our outdoor HOT TUB in private woodland setting.

 

Jennie's Sleeping Room

A nicely decorated, economical sleeping room has a private bath with shower, and private time in the outdoor woodland hot tub.

The drive alone was breathtaking. White Pass on a gorgeous sunny spring day is amazing. The snow capped mountain tops casting shadows over tall pines and alders with nearly every sweeping turn affording heart stopping gazes at Mt. Rainier. The small towns beckoning for your car to pull down one of their lovely, inviting pathways. The first view of our sweet little cabin tucked away off the Hwy sweet and simple, surrounded in green. So picturesque. We fell in love the moment we opened the door. This is the place we will remember for a lifetime. We could not have dreamed of a better place to get to know each other. My heart skips when I think of coming back here with my lovely new wife so we can re-enjoy the long quiet talks in front of the fireplace, cuddling in the hot tub just drinking in the sounds of the creek...Gazing at the meadows to see deer and elk, just enjoying a peaceful afternoon. I can't dream of anything much closer to paradise. Oh, and the blackberry pie is to die for..and by far the best French fries I have ever enjoyed.
